  1. The king of cascade limbers strikes again! Maybe I should call you king of wallowing? King of choss? 🤣
  2. Sick! Looks dreamy! Jason, the yellow pad does not signal ā€œjunk showā€. It signals ā€œseasoned vet of the cascadesā€ ... or so I like to tell myself when I, too am carrying one on my back! šŸ˜šŸ¤£
  3. Wonderful! Thanks for sharing! Man, do I miss the Utah desert and all it’s lovely sandstone.
  4. Interesting. I assumed there was good ice out there but never knew how big it was. Very nice!
  5. Sweet climb. Merry Christmas to you and thanks for the read.
  6. Cool! What did you find up there? ice giants? the holy grail? fun? 😊
  7. Amazing. I love how casual this reads. No issues, no epics, just sendfest. 🤣 Seriously though, super impressive ascent. I agree with Jason on the Swenson torch. Impressive. Keep climbing!
  8. Classic shoulder season scrambles. Nice one. I always wondered what these buttes looked like. Thanks for sharing as usual.
  9. I love this time of year for climbing a peak. Shoulder seasons are the best time for a random peak scramble, although with the way the cascades are these days, Is say Lundin is not considered ā€œrandomā€.
  10. Oh no! The Himalayan black berries have made it back that far into that watershed!? Thanks for the hard work out there. It’s too bad the walk is so far these days. I remember being out there with my then girlfriend. We backed off of the crux of online. She didn’t like the runout/crux combo. I didn’t argue. Maybe we will go back now. I too wonder exactly what pitches were retro bolted and how many new bolts were added.
  11. Who says the cascades are climbed out?! šŸ˜
  12. Looks like a gorgeous trip. Your photos are stunning. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Nice. Can’t wait to do this stuff with my son (he’s only 4). I climbed the south butt. Probably 5/6 years ago and made the mistake of rapping down an overhanging dihedral you some terrible rap stations on the second rap. It took us down the south face of the west ridge. NOT RECOMMENDED! You were smart to ascend back up.
  14. Sweet. There is so much granite out there to explore. Thanks Otto, for continuing to develop out there. One of these days, when I am back in WA, I will help. The comb has some obscure routes that could use some revitalization.
  15. Rad. The north cascades are sweet! This looks like a fun, less traveled route.
  16. Beautiful pictures and a nice solo adventure. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Glad to hear the trail is in great shape and new hardware on the classic. I need to make it back out. That place is old school and quite good.
  18. Wow. Great report. Love the stoke! A reminder that I need to revisit such an amazing peak.
  19. Wow! What an amazing adventure! Your photos are great and you really capture some great moments. I wish there was more photos of the actual climbing. 😊
  20. Ooo! Nice line. I like what is to the left on that wall too!
  21. Cool! I love seeing TRs of these long forgotten peaks. Sad to see the trail in such horrible shape. Much of the Pasayten trails seem to have fallen into this condition. I had the same issue along the lost river and monument creek up and over pistol pass a handful of years ago. Books and maps said the trail was there, NF had no current beta, so we had a pretty serious schwack. Ballard is not on the Bulger list!? I wonder why?
  22. Nice work. Looks great!
  23. Nice! This has been on my list for a while. Looks right up my alley! 🤪
  24. Wow. Quite a story. A good reminder that shit happens to very experienced climbers. Sorry it had to happen to you. The rescue sounded like it was smooth as can be. Outside of the accident you must feel quite fortunate for the beautiful trip and the speedy rescue. Cheers to learning from mistakes!
