  3. nothing quite like falling down a mountain side in skis right? Did that once this year and hope to avoid that mistake for the rest. Thanks for the laughs and good story.
  4. yea, its tough being an ice climber in the NW. I grew up in NH and have a hard time getting psyched for the stuff out here. East coast just seems to have better freeze/thaw cycles. Its like growing up in Yosemite and moving to Minnesota.

  7. Took a trip out to the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River yesterday and was surprised to see that FS 56 was open all the way to Dingford Creek Trailhead! The road is definitely rough in some spots, but it is quite passable with FWD or AWD.

  10. Hey I am looking for a good multi-day ski tour that is pretty moderate for a group of 5-6 people. Any suggestions? I would also be interested in backcountry huts

  17. I am fairly new to foraging and usually just stick to Chanterelles. They are easy to identify and uber tasty. I have found about 3 loads this size this Fall.
  18. I shouldn't have turned my sound up higher and higher trying to hear the crackle of the fire.... that explosion nearly shot me out of my seat!
