well you both looked very fit and not old when I saw you in the parking lot! I knew you were headed up for something good on stuart just from the looks of ya and your gear. So, the "we are old" thing is not working with me. I saw your partner run past in both directions. We wondered what you two forgot. I was the gal in the parking lot waiting for her partners. Great stuff thanks for the report.

Trip: Enchantments, Dragontail and ski porn - Date: 5/23/2009Trip Report:What a awesome weekend to play in the mountains! Lots of folks up in the Enchantments this weekend. I was there 2 years ago on Memorial day and only a handful of folks in the area. Not this weekend! The place was crawling with folks.Snow is perfect in the morning but by afternoon the postholing will happen without snowshoes or skis. I only used my snow shoes on the lake. Steps are kicked in up Aasgard and was an easy ascent. Great glissade path set in the bottom half of Aasgard. It goes all the way to the lake. Weeeeeee! Colchuck Lake may still be frozen enough to ski the edge for another week(maybe?) but is melting fast! I spent a day hiking scrambling around filming my partners skiing. It was ski heaven up there all weekend I suck at filming but I had a blast doing it! Here is the result... [video:vimeo] Enchantments Ski Tour from anne arnoldy on Vimeo. It was such a great weekend with awesome partners. Here is some of the fun we had and beauty we witnessed. Lots of pics...

great climb and pics! What a great weekend to be in the Enchantments! Crossing the lake was Freaky! I was sinking in water in spots with my snowshoes. I did notice that the ice itself in most spots was at least 18" to 24" thick still. -

My first. I am no longer a virgin! Matt Nice to see you again and thanks for all the work you put into it. I was late, I didn't show till 30 minutes before the slide-show started. I got to see some folks I have not seen in a while and got to meet a few new ones. Unfortunately didn't get to meet a whole lot. Oh well, Next time. The slide show was great as expected! Wayne as usual kicked ass! And well what can we say about the gals? They rocked even more! (oops sorry wayne ) Glad I went. Next time I may come earlier so I can mingle more!

last i knew the gate is still up at dingford but remember something about it being washed out the last floods...maybe it was wishful thinking. If it is up then it is another 7 miles one way to add! there are also many washouts and slides (just not sure exactly where), more info from a few weeks ago here...road beta Myrtle lake/North slope route may be your best option. there is also a possible route up the Southwest ridge from Hester lake trail.

Oh my...I was just kidding. I would not post in this thread. I know it is a special thread for dads. I was just being a smart ass. Sorry it was not clear. I still think this is a beautiful thread. Sobo I am unsure there are too many moms on here to post in a mom's? I will think about it as my boy has been in and around the mountains since he was born. Again, great thread guys!

sweet!. THE legend keeps on keepin on.

Is this just for fathers or for climbing moms too? what a beautiful thread!

Ok I am bored...and I know I don't have a chance in hell with the great climbers here but, I will post a couple for the hell of it. Great porn thread too. here is a good cover shot. Subject is clear and there are no distractions...not too busy. Don't want to distract from the book ya know heh. And now for some proper nutrition... must never enter the mountains without this nutrition... edited to fix my fuck ups!

Trip: Hidden Lakes Saddle Porn - standard Date: 11/30/2008 Trip Report: Figured I would share some NC porn from last weekend with ya all. Went Up to Hidden Lakes Saddle below the lookout. The route up to the look out was sketch with ice and fresh unstable snow so that is as far as we went. It was a very blustery day! Good times and WOW the views! Enjoy... Gear Notes: snow shoes! Not quite time for skinning yet. Approach Notes: wind slabs forming near sibley pass
