  1. Outstanding pics Chad. Thank you.
  2. I believe this has already happened, unfortunately.
  3. My thoughts exactly. I have never even considered this. It's freeze dried Folgers for me.
  4. This does sound like a tasty trip. I have always thought doing the entire Cathedral Ridge on its own would be an interesting (albeit long approach) climb. I've looked at doing a carry over from the Ramona Falls TH with skis would be a nice long day out. Hopefully a TR is forthcoming, or at least an update.

  6. You can offset higher prices by owning their stock. Granted, their P/E tends to be a little on the high side for my tastes, but in general, I want to own stock in companies that are profitable.
  7. Plabville homey!
  8. Exactly. If you error on having too many ice screws or pickets...what's the big deal? A couple of pounds of gear?? For this route, at this time of year, unless you've been there before or are very comfortable with "65 degree ice and a large pack" you should carry those anyway and decide what the route requires once you're on it. That what it's all about. Close-up, high res pictures will only tell you so much. (Not to mention taking away from the real adventure and discovery that seems to be lost in climbing these days). If weight is the ultimate question here, leave behind the luxuries or loose a few pounds (from your body) and take what you'll only REALLY need up high. Good luck.
  9. Thank you for allow me to post!
  10. (we need a cigar avatar) Congratulations Eric!
  11. Spray is fast moving. If this has been seen/discussed here previously, my apologies. Otherwise, it's an interesting point of view: Al-Jazerra Video
  12. Another option is to hang small boat anchors every 24 inches. They act as "insta-flukes" in case someones drops in.
  13. I wonder how many of you with the REI card talking about all the great dividends don't pay off your balance every month. Who's who?
  14. I enjoyed the heavy rum consumption story at the Foraker basecamp.
  15. I have some vintage REI crampons, steel, 12-pt. w/ front points, wire heal bail and neoprene straps. Other than being old, they're in great shape. I just use a different pair now. They fit a size 10-11 boot. I'm not sure WTF "Da Heezy" is but I'm in Portland and you can have them for $20 local or $25 shipped. PM me if you'd like them.
  16. Anyone else going? I may see you there.
  17. Exactly
  18. Something else that would be helpful would be to state your specific objective in the subject, i.e.: "Baker: May 19-21" or "Beacon Rock: Someone to lead...: or "Smith: a day trip..." "Need a climbing partner near Seattle" NOT "Need a partner" That's obvious, otherwise you wouldn't be posting in this forum. Then go into details about your needs in your post.
  19. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but these look like standard all-purpose tarps you can buy from GI Joes. Are they more sophisticated than this?
  20. Joe, respond to your PM. I still haven't seen the skins yet.
  21. Check this thread. It's not the MOST up to date, but it has some decent info.
  22. Yeah, excellent shots. Certainly better than I have ever seen...or taken myself. Nice work.
