No, dogs are not allowed outside homes or fenced yards; it would've been perfectly legal and justifiable if you'd have hacked the mut to death with your ice axe in front of its owners. Seems like a well thought out, measured answer to the question. But it's a good segue into the question why some dog owners continue to climb while thier dog's paws are leaving blood stains in the snow. I've seen this a few times (4) and it seems a little rough on the dog.
  2. Ruckel ridge, Ruckel creek, Defiance...all good conditioners when you're looking for something different. If I'm short on time, I'll even hump up Munra Point with a heavy pack on for a good after work thrashing. I've come down Munra with a headlamp more than once. That's fun. Especially through that last rock gully up high. Good stuff!
  3. Enjoying several of those right now as I'm reading this AWESOME TR.
  4. Umm...avalanche?
  5. I know I like to wear chaps. Especially when leading.
  6. EXACTLY. The media probably contacted him after hearing about it somewhere and he was speaking off the cuff and not reciting a well-prepared, fully-researched statement in a press conference. Who knows? Give the guys some credit.
  7. http://www.nealmueller.com/ News story about these cats on LR.
  8. 82 "...by choking on a live hampster." And here I was worried about my penchant for gerbils.
  9. Don't waist the money. I would just post in the Climbing Partners section here a few weeks prior and there will likely be several folks that would be happy drag you up there for free...or for a case of beer or something.
  10. Tasty, thanks! Did you guys skin in/snow shoe in from the gate?
  11. If it's the EX Model, here's what Kelley Blue Book says.
  12. More here.
  13. Perhaps, but we're still happy to help .
  14. It's been a long time since ANYONE has done anything on WW, here or anywhere else. From an objective hazard POV, its just a really dangerous route. What specifically are you looking for/interested in? Beta?
  15. I'm not aware of any public transportation to the mountain, so you may consider putting this in the "Climbing Partners" section. Lots of people will be headed up there once the weather clears. You shouldn't have too much trouble getting a ride, or finding a group to tag along with, if that's what your interested in.

  17. No, I just think she wants you to be more cunsistent.
  18. This is a very good and, in my case, very relevant topic.
  19. I can guarantee if the extended forecast holds true I'll be 'ing work and doing some sort, any sort, of Hood lap. Even if I have to do it in the middle of the 'ing night!
  20. Either that or he should have just handed over his balls wrapped in a nice box at HER wedding.
  21. Ummmmmmmmm...shouldn't this be in "Yard Sale"??
  22. Here's a recent pic of the North side. You can see a little of Thermogenesis, but nothing really close up. I bet the cats that were just up on LR may have some beta looking down into it though.
  23. I couldn't agree more. What are we talking about here 6oz. or 8oz.? Go metal. I still have a small aluminum spade with a wood handle that scews in that must be 25 years old. The spade is a bit on small side, but it works great.
  24. Not sure I can hang on Wednesday, but I can drop off more beer than you can imagine. That is if you guys like beer. PM me and let me know what and where.
  25. I was curious about this too. Glad you cats made it back in one piece.
