  1. Nice read Chad. I really enjoyed that.
  2. Apparently you can get them in Everett. They look like great gloves.
  3. I love your prose Mike. Smacks a little of Charles Bukowski. The pictures are great too! Thanks
  4. Thanks Stonehead! I missed that and wanted to see it. Good stuff!

    Favorite Pie?

Harry Pi ...where's he been lately anyway!? "Thank you very much for allow me to post."
  6. Patagonia? or Arc'teryx? They don't seem to exist on the Patagonia site.
  7. This is a bit long...but VERY funny.
  8. Hi Daj...welcome. CC is a great place to start. Lots of cool cats around here. Look over this thread. John is a great guy. And Ivan is a blast to climb with.
  9. Marmot? I'm not aware of a hooded one though.
  10. The rando rope would be ok, but make sure you size your pussiks down accordingly so they work when you need them. I tend to echo others in that ~9mm x ~50m single is a good choice for what it sounds like you're into.
  11. Good call Ryland. Nice pic Iain. Of course there was that infamous slab avalanche in May a few years back off the WCR. I also remember someone mentioning something about a slab coming of the east side of CR. But in the winter? Like Ryland said, know how to read the snowpack. It's WET up there now.
  12. This is a TR for Little Tahoma. HOWEVER, it's not recent ---it's from last May---and it's not from the Muir approach. But it's a great read (as are all of Phil's other TR) so take from it what you can. You didn't say whether or not you've been there before, so you may find some useful info here. Have fun!
  13. Here is a TR from TAY that a guy posted a week back. I just saw this, but he has some good pictures of the Sandy Headwall and the west side overall. Not sure if the "unusual access situation" he speaks of is still in, but if it is, it might be something to consider as a variation to the normal Timberline approach to get up SGH or some other west side route.
  14. Any idea what time they filmed that? Just wondering. We were on it until about 11:20. Apparently the crew was coming back from Hood River, so it was probably early afternoon. It was probably you!
  15. Channel 8 News showed a couple of you cats on Crown yesterday. Looked schweet! Nice work!
  16. I've heard that exact thing too. I believe it.
  17. Pity the nervous young chap that comes to your door for a date with her and sees this 6'7" wild-ass holding a tool in each hand.
  18. Here is a cool cam that is trained on Half-dome. And though it doesn't directly answer your question, you can view a multi-day image and then stop it at about the time of year you're planning to go and get an idea. I think I got this link from this site. Anyway, there are also a lot of other cams too. Rainier is another good one.
  19. Did you end up doing this? How was it??
  20. Yes...and don't forget about "Link."
  21. Ask Mike!
  22. The skinning up will be fabulous...all the way to CR. It is really awesome snow right now. On the WRG descent, maybe Iain or someone else can speak more to this, but I'd be careful on this right now. There hasn't been THAT much snow up there. I would be nervous skiing that glacier this early. However, the WRG has the benefit of having a lot of what fell last week on the Palmer blown into it filling in a lot of the cracks. It doesn't take much to smooth things over. Maybe be on the safe side and just don't go alone. Then at least if one of you drop , the other can get to the other quickly. Otherwise, have a blast.
