I went bouldering at an area called Stoney Point when I was down there once visiting family. It was pretty good. A Stonemasters favorite apparently - back in the day. There's also good sport climbing in the hills near Malibu. Lots of rock down there, have fun!
I have this crazy tech tip called placing your ice screws on a carabiner which is actually clipped into a gear loop on your harness. When you want to place a screw you unclip one of the ice screws from the carabiner, which required almost no energy and time at all. Pretty wild stuff.
I agree that sometimes you have to wait for a while to talk to someone at Pro Ski. But the employees there do know their shit.
That doesn't have anything to do with mounting bindings anyway.
Shit dude, should have talked to Kit Lewis at the Ropeup the other weekend. He'll tell you all sorts of cool stuff, including how to make first drunk ascents.
Is this a Mikey Schaeffer route? I did it for a second time last weekend and got my nuts kicked in again. Definitly at least 10+, I mean every move on it (40 meters or so) is 5.10, and most moves are solid 5.10. Excellent pitch though.
