  1. I thought that cam stops also prevent the lobes from inverting. Right, CBS, the dual axle functions as the cam stops on the BD model.
  2. Winter conditions, sure. But not technically a winter ascent. Good work regardless . The photos make it look beautiful up there.
  3. Why would you place active protection passively? I think I remember reading that BD Camalots are strong enough to be placed in passive orientation, but even so it's not recommended.
  4. I skinned up the lower snowfield on Tuesday. At that time there was a well-established boot path near Paradise, but the tracks petered out long before the snowfield. The winter route up Pan Point is covered in snow again, though there are rocky areas that pose a threat to skis. Forecast for this weekend looks less than nice, so carry a map and compass and know how to use 'em, or choose a hike on which you'll be able to see where you're going .
  5. Is there any chance we can bribe you guys to do your slideshow again in a different venue?
  6. SMIFFAYYYYY???
  7. I missed it!
  8. Rainier in winter: 4 attempts, one of which ended less than 50 feet from the crater rim.
  9. Of course, you'll need some of these in order to make your purchase:
  10. If you thought it was windy in the parking lot, you should have seen what it was like on the upper mountain .

Ah, but her name is all lower-case letters, my friend .

  13. THERMOGENESIS!
  14. I remember reading climbing reports in late 2003 that said the only teams making it up the glacier were those that climbed into, and then back out of, crevasses that blocked the way. The Tahoma wasn't too bad at the beginning of July last year, but I think by the end of the month it would have been difficult to pass. And this year....well, let's just say it's going to be an early season.
  15. w00t! You crazy snow-driving, cougar-escaping, tree crack-climbing, slush-stomping, 5.4-sending, frozen-nuts-glissading madmen! Here's to all that and more!
  16. Right on, my dawgs! That is some sweet shizzle.
  17. Rad TR! These kinds of climbs are so much fun to read about. I get super stoked. Thanks for sharing!
  18. Sweet, d00d. I really like these two photos! Summit enlightenment is always a good thing.
  19. CC and I were among the poor fools who drove down Saturday. We got all of two pitches in before it started raining. It snowed at the Grasslands that night, too. In the morning we drove to Bachelor. So much for warm tuff in the sun! Glad you boys got some, Foxy.
  20. The shit you guys come up with is laughable. I'm not sure where specialed got his info, but I can tell you it's untrue. And even if it were, it wouldn't be anyone's business but my own. I'm not sure why I always get dragged into your NOLSe bashing (he isn't usually the one who mentions me), especially since we're no longer dating. I have Greg_W to thank for teaching me that it really doesn't matter what people on a BBS are saying about you . Spray away.
  21. Saturday: Skiing with cracked. Sunday: Skiing with CascadeClimber. FRESHIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEZ!
  22. Ah, screw Smith this weekend!
  23. In the upper righthand corner of the page. Click the drop-down menu just left of the "Go" button and select "Search forums.."
  24. I am in search of a fellow wanker to jam cracks and pull nubbins at the tuffland of Smiffay this weekend. PM if you are old enough to buy Mike's and get smashed at the Grasslands.
  25. Hey, you changed the title of the thread.
