Nice TR Fern. I am hoping for good weather this weekend up there. Originally we were planning on going to Smith, but if it is like it was this last weekend, I really want to get up to Squamish instead.

I was looking on the board and then all of sudden in the Main Index I noticed Spray was gone. I thought cool finally there might be more talk of climbing instead of Spray. Then the next thought was damn all the Spray addicts are going to be spewing all over CC.com. Then I realized it was just moved, I think it is good move, who cares about spray any way? Spray away .

I know I am not worried, hell there is plenty to do, even if I don't get on my board, which I find hard to believe that I wouldn't. I know that I will have fun that weekend, even if it is just chilling out and drinking beer.

I don't know, if I was all you guys I would stay at home. Looks like the conditions are going to be bad like they have all winter long. There is ton to do in the city, shop, go out to eat, go to the climbing gym, visit friends, watch tv, catch up on zzz's, but go outside I wouldn't.

Looks like his fall was pretty reasonable considering the location of his belayer. You can catch just a flash of his belayer at the end of the clip, he looks like he was quite a ways from the base of the cliff and got yanked in with the fall. Also it looks like he was more like 15 feet out from his last piece (estimated 5-3 foot reaches). So blah.

Damn sounds like a good night, I guess i should have showed up. Oh well.

I actually think it might be a better idea to let things deteriorate, that was my point on not paying passes more so than wallet protection as you put. The reason I say this is because if we pay this extra user fee and fund the maintenance of parking lots and shitters, then there isn't a problem to be fixed. By accepting to pay to use a public area (in this case parking and shitters) then it opens it up for more services to charge us for. What's next, entrance fees for trails or roads, or use fee for using a picnic areas, or how about charging to maintain a veiw point. By refusing to pay, the decision makers will hopefully be forced to make some type of corrective action for funding these items and will hopefully better budget the funds that are available for maintaining public lands. By refusing to pay for these things, it is a statement that is saying it is not acceptable to charge a user fee and we are not happy with essentially the privatization of our public lands. That statement shouldn't end there though, it should be just the start of letting your elected politicians know that you don't feel it is right targeting a user group for public services and that more reasonable ways of funding these services should be researched.

how bout some of that elk you shot? I'm not a huge fan of grilled elk, but I can bring some for sure. Grilling game like that is tricky, gotta pull it off before it dries out (not much fat). marinade marinade marinade oh did I say marinade.
