  1. Nice call, I was thinking that as well, "None of the above" would win the election if held now and that check box was available I suspect. Your candidates:
  2. Jim Anglins widow played the Melisa Etheridge song "Angel" at his funeral (amoungst other songs) It stuck out amongst the others, for me. It was so pretty, sad and sweet all at once. Perfect in fact. The story line of the song was written for (or about) the Smashing Pumpkins guitarist and is about Heroin Addiction. Everytime I hear it I think of him now. Jimmy O, Josh and I were in Parker landing quaffing beers after a hard day of thrashing couple of weeks ago and they played it like 3 times while we were in there. I stopped the discussion and pointed it out the first time. The next times Jim noted it. Funny thing was I'd though of JimA a couple of times that very day while hanging off the cliff, thinking he'd like to have been out with us, it wasn't far from his home where we were. Maybe it was the proximity to his home that caused this, as I rarely think of him. When I go home later the very same day, I pulled the Willamette guidebook off my shelf for the first time since I'd bought it like 8 months or so ago. Was going to see if a site near Detroit I'd found was in there. I'd bought 2 copies of this off Jim after they revised and updated it. Jim's picture was on the cover (clipping some bolts *cough*cough*). I opened it up and he'd penned me a note on the inside cover......pretty strange for all in one day.....
  3. As someone who was once seconds from going postal in the classic way, I hope you can remember that this too will pass. Wishing you well Rudy.
  4. Yup. I was gonna say something about using your body positioning and stance as part of the belay chain then I saw your belay device and figured why bother. f*ck I feel old.
  5. Till you find out it's Bud. BTW, SC, Obama has very few things you can pick on as he has done very few things.
  6. Who could have seen 10-12 Megapixel cameras with typically 3x optical zooms selling in the @$200 range 5 years later? I think I payed $600 for my Olympus 3.3 Megapixel 3X zoom, same exact camera with a 4mp 3X zoom was going for $299 a few years later. It's a dinosaur now.
  7. "ROCK ON" DUDE
  8. Yeah, fighting cock is OK, it's more for the novelty though, but it's drinkable. I suspect if you dumped it in a pretty crystal decanter style container and tripled the price, some of these snobs would like it better though.
  9. and to wash it down:
  10. You know who you are. link "BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's health chiefs barred hospitals and clinics on Wednesday from castrating would-be "ladyboys" amid growing concern about the operation being seen as a cheap and quick alternative to a full sex-change........" Oh, it goes on. Guess you can cancel the side trip when you head to Railey this winter.
  11. Holy crap, that chick is a potential Heiress to a multi-million dollar beer fortune, and it looks like shes drinking a competing brand.....HOLY CRAP! lINK About the mom (McCains wife): "As heiress to her father's stake in Hensley & Co. of Phoenix, Cindy McCain is an executive whose worth may exceed $100 million. Her beer earnings have afforded the GOP presidential nominee a wealthy lifestyle with a private jet and vacation homes at his disposal, and her connections helped him launch his political career — even if the millions remain in her name alone. Yet the arm's-length distance between McCain and his wife's assets also has helped shield him from conflict-of-interest problems." Is it me or is she looking even better now?
  12. What did the Monkey say when he pissed on the Cash register? "This is gonna run into money!"
  13. Maybe I should have just linked it, pretty funny: Money making idea

    DMX on Obama:

Is anyone here argueing now, or has ever argued, that we have our educational priorities straight? Direct them to this interview if so. Somehow, the things that hold us together as a country are not being conveyed anymore. Both of my children knew at a very young age all about Martin Luther King, yet neither one, when asked, could explain who Geo. Washington or Thomas Jefferson was or the founding principles of our county.
  15. Yeah, and wheres the forum for this thing?

    Barack Obama

    Which one is that?
  17. I didn't see my ideal choice: ie, "I'm a weak assed pussy either way." But it's all real climbing to me. Just happy to get out. BTW, Bone, I suspect you're heading this direction as well now that you have a group of babies, ie, so busy that you feel blessed to get in an hour here or there, and even the bouldering for an hour is a quick happy finish.
  18. It only serves to remind me of the theft of all the brand new products that these poor folks just experienced at FF. BTW, by way of support, my brother is getting me a down coat with the factory (on order now with Feather Friends). I wouldn't consider getting one new off of ebay or craigslist now, unfortunatly, I think some items are build to order only at the factory as someone sadly stole all their new stock. As this is your very first post fotogina, you might consider putting your real name on the for sale posting. For instance, my name is my posting name. Good luck!
  19. Maybe they need to spice up the uniforms and do something different? NSFW pic link
  20. Haha! I got this: "Well, you're distressingly normal and could conceivably adjust to life as a deep space pioneer, though we recommend instead that you leave the Mars missions to the serious whack jobs who scored over 130 and instead finish year 3 of law school, tuck your toddler into bed, design Web 2.0 applications, run for Congress or do whatever other normal, healthy, middle-of-the-road thing you're currently doing with your normal, healthy, middle-of-the-road life. If you're determined to give Virgle a try, though, you can submit your video here." I'd better pass on the video.
  21. Well, thats less than half the facts Bob. The rest of the story is twofold. First, if you bothered to read my link you'd have seen that the Clinton admin had at least 2 chances to get Bin Laden. 2nd, they passed on examining ATtas hard drive. Either one of those would have prevented the plane into the building scenarios. However, the biggest Faux Pax and guilt you can lay on Clinton is this. They allowed the SAudis to fund and direct extremism in their state funded and directed Wahabi Madras (Wahabi religous schools), it was Clinton and that admin that just let it be and continue. WE knew this shit was happening, that violent rhetoric was being layed onto various students but they just let it happen. Thats why so many of the hijackers were of Saudi citizenship as they were products of these religious schools. Under Bush, working with the Saudi gov't, that shit has stopped. The Saudi family has let loose over 1100 radical teachers who have not toed the softer, more moderate line, and these schools are not a hotbed of radicalism and religious violence. It will take years to undo the damage, but thats the rest of that story which you apparently had no clue about. This is the masterwork on the subject although it comes close to being an official Israeli tome: Hatreds Kingdom by Dore Gold Golds book is now almost 4 years old, and the issues he raises have been dealt with and addressed quite capably and throughly by the Bush Administration. The fact that they cannot trumpet these quiet success's all over the internet and in the papers serves to make them even more powerful and effective. Highly recommend the book anyway.
  22. If I want to see something uninteresting I'd rather watch paint dry. Costs less, more interesting.

    REI

REI gear << cash or airline miles Airline cards charge for their cards or have restrictions- no interest here. BTW, if you hang out and wait till like July, you can get cash on an REI card, instead of gear. I pay no fees for my airline mileage award visa (I don't carry a balance on it) and the only restrictions are blackout dates for flights. Even so, I am skiing in the alps next winter and used miles to book the flight. I'll remember that when I get my $388 check.
  24. Name dropper...
  25. I guess I missed that call although it looks like it's about to get real ugly anyway. Oh look, an Eagle over there--------------> (Psttt: Run Cheamclimber run!)
