No lad, it means I think you're barking mad!
-
I think so, but I don't really follow basketball.

I think we're looking good for today, June 15th. 30% chance of showers before 11am, but it's quite sunny now, so I expect we'll sail through and have a great afternoon.

It kind of looks like the view across the gorge in the background, doesn't it? I think the kilt suggests that it must be Plaidman on the cover.

I think I'm going to ask Porter to change the two Oregon forum names to As The World Turns and All My Children.

Oh Shapp, you can be such a drama queen! It wasn't I that moved it, but it was a good call. The main idea at play in the thread was that Oregon rock climbing threads always degrade into a snarky weasel dance. On a privately owned website "censorship" is not an applicable concern, no one's first amendment right was abrogated, you can say anything you want, you just can't necessarily say it here. I did delete the attempts to continue the interpersonal battle onto another thread. This forum is not the springboard for any party to carry on personal vendettas. I could ban you if you bribe me well enough, but you'll have to pay up front. Squid promised me a six pack if I would help his cc.com addiction by banning him, but the rat never paid up.

Ms. Palin's face is all skewed up like a posting from plasticsurgerydisaster.com.

[TR] North Twin Sister - West Ridge 6/12/2011
Off_White replied to KaskadskyjKozak's topic in North Cascades
That looks like a really great day out. -
I missed the part where they counted surveillance cameras and the number of innocent people freed from death row on overturned convictions. On the other hand, I think it would be great if a bunch of people moved from oppressive WA state to be free in South Dakota.

Shangri-La - new routes at X38 - tour invite
Off_White replied to Rad's topic in Rock Climbing Forum
Rad, I scored several boxes of these stainless steel biners with the captive eye on them, makes for a nice top anchor and not easily confused with someone's booty biner they've left behind. Couldn't make it today, but I'll be hitting you or Alex up for a tour sometime later this summer. Thanks a bunch for your offer. -
Yep. I think the reason is that when people post pictures from elsewhere to their TR's, over time the TR remains but the other source of the photos doesn't, so the photos disappear. CC.com has unlimited photo storage for you images too. Same thing happens is if all you do is post a link to your blog: when you get bored and forget about your blog until it disappears, the info disappears too.

Hey, not only is it a TR, its in the running for the June prize. Hmm, though come to think of it, that makes me guilty of the cardinal sin of spraying in a TR... Wasn't there something about needing a picture to qualify? You are SO right, it does need at least one trip report picture hosted on cc.com to qualify. Contest qualification fail then.

You're a real gentleman Mark, I hope it becomes part of your rack though.

Ahh, the slightly early departure from farmwork in Tenino for you and E makes sense now, and you could have had food since you cashed that check straight away. Flip flop poo is pretty unpleasant, but at least it avoids that squishing up through your toes feeling.

Ah, here's the entertaining riff on the whole thing I saw awhile back: link

The billboard does not mention the mother's name nor does it show her photo. How does it violate her privacy exactly? Her name is Nani, and the organization Fultz created is listed in the bottom of the billboard as the "National Association of Needed Information." Yeah, just a coincidence. She was barely 18 when she miscarried, which means this 28 year old creep was dating a 17 year old who he went on to relentlessly stalk. I think his freedom of speech should be used to convict him of statutory rape and get him branded as a sex offender. more info

This is a great 3 sentence recap of the problem. Being a Walmart Nation, pursuing discount pricing and low wages, is a sure ticket to a downward spiral.

Thanks for you ramblings Scott, I appreciate your perspective.

[TR] Banks Lake - Various 5/29/2011
Off_White replied to mountainsloth's topic in Rock Climbing Forum
Prime Cut is great. There's a good 11a (not in any guide) to the left: a couple bolts to a laser cut smooth quartz lined thin crack. It uses the same anchor as Prime Cut, and was put up during the Memorial Day fishing derby years ago, and was named after those stout fishing individuals, The Men Of Banks Lake (you can just imagine the Playgirl spread). The bolts are 3/8" Rawl split shank, so while not exactly modern, they're beefy enough you don't have to worry. I'm psyched to get over to the Orange Wall, that stuff looks great. -
Scott, I think Bill's point was that dead children are kept out of our news for the sake of maintaining support for the war, they're sort of swept under the rug. The US government has worked hard since Vietnam to keep real images of combat death out of US living rooms. I'll agree that you guys on the ground are a lot more precise than munitions, however smart the bomb may be, but minimizing US casualties is a public relations priority. I think you overstate at 100% accuracy too, the wrong people do get killed in gun battles and room to room action. No offense, and I'm sure you're really good at what you do, but I'd really like to see you out of a job. Writing my government representatives hasn't proven to be real effective at ending the war, what do you suggest as an approach for the average citizen? I won't be signing up (they wouldn't have me) and I don't really like the STFU option either.

I wanted to add, the wage Recycled is offering is quite fair, but the "contractor, not employee" dodge he's pursuing is quite illegal. If this person is working for you full time under your direction, they are an employee, not a contractor, and you should be liable for social security, medicare, unemployment, and L&I insurance. Look up the IRS definitions if you doubt me.
