Who does? Cats bite. As an aside, anyone who's a cat person knows that when you play with cats, sometimes you bleed. It's just the way it goes. I think you're right that being an AF Rep isn't much different.

You know, I'm thinking Bill looks like a pretty good fit for that position...

I've heard the Soviet Route on Bonanza has had a couple repeats, word is it's not all that great or solid, so I moved it off my little list of obsessions. Aside from hassling with the boat and bus up to Holden, it's not all that hard to get to.

Pffft, when I was 15 I onsighted The Nutcracker, I think it's about 5.8c. It's a full five pitches long or so, much longer than those number/letter routes, and hey, that was back when 5.8 meant something. Okay, it didn't actually mean anything back then either. Bravo, I'm already psyched to try harder this year.

It's happened here too, and on other climbing websites as well.

Between this and the Scurlock show, Skagit Alpine Club is putting on some great shows. I wish it was closer. -
Because I'm hardcore. Want to see my fashion designs?

Hey, and you can use all that money you'll save to make a down payment on this bridge I have for sale!

Hmmm, and it's not confined to his board, or even just Supertopo anymore either. That picture's got legs, it could go global.

Here, this is the original recording, but you should turn off your screen so you don't have to watch the silly array of anime stills that someone chose to "illustrate" this classic tune. 5kB4fGELR_Q

What's the use of getting sober (when you're gonna get drunk again) YjFsMLznABM Here you go Kev, you can listen instead of read. This is a faithful copy of the Louis Jordan version of this song. Check out the original for something that really swings.

Today, pick hit has been The Dollyrots, though last night it was definitely The Black Lips that rocked my dome. Oh, just to add content aside from name dropping, The Dollyrots are chirpy female voiced pop punk like The Muffs or L7 (if Donita Sparks sang at least an octave higher), a recent eMusic download. The Black Lips are guitar garage stuff reminiscent of early Stones or very early Beatles before they were anyone, a great energetic band I saw at Neumos last night. Big fun in the pit.

So, if I understand you correctly, your conclusion is that marines=gay?

ahh, hence your old tagline "I'm a bug!"

Initially, I was impressed to see a politician actually admit to making a mistake, but then I see that Olds, the one quoted as saying "we made a mistake" was opposed to the statement from the beginning, so really she's saying "mistakes were made, but not by me" which is just par for the course in politics.

Rob, I think you're sufficiently immersed, you're dripping on our carpets.

Fuckin' Leroy, tell him he's breakin' his momma's heart if he don't visit.

Lotta tit talk around here these days. Anyone else remember the old Steve Martin stand up routine where he declares, "I could never be a woman. I'd just stand in front of a mirror and play with my tits all day."

I don't think doubles are a great cragging system, but they're useful sometimes for longer routes & alpine stuff. We used them on Dreamer last summer and didn't experience any rope drag whatsoever, that was kind of nice. Handy for routes where you need a rap line anyway, but the tag line system cman describes does the same thing with the simplicity of a single line lead. Oh, and I've never fallen on doubles, so I have no idea how that goes. First time I ever saw them used cragging was Russ Clune leading some slanting 5.12 thing on Goosehead on Mt Lemmon. The bolts were pretty close, so he could take one line and clip the next bolt while the other rope was essentially tight to the bolt at his waist. No annoying fear of a longer fall while pulling up the rope loop to clip. I've never seen a route with less fall potential.

Yeah, I've probably lowered everyone's quality of life by deleting your brilliant pearl of humor, laughing at tony.henley's spelling. Aren't you the guy who also made the lame snappy comeback to Jon when he pointed out that there's no spray in that forum? For the record, it appears that tony.henley is who he says he is, and is definitely not Arc/Divot/Crampon/Icefall.

Ahh, now I understand your point. I didn't get this from your rude defamation of the woman unaware of her new public status, but now that you spell out what you actually think about it, I can't say I disagree with you. Maybe you thought you were being clear with your intentions, but I assure you that thinking other people are mind readers is another surefire way to fuck up a relationship. So tell me Karnak, is this also the subtext of Raindawg's lighter version of denigration of total strangers? 111, you should take Muffy's sage advice offered up awhile back and come clean with her, or I assure you no good can come of this. You should also show her that photoshopped version, that is actually funny.

Jmace, I'm guess that the weekend started a little early, eh?

I thought this thread was your application to Graduate School. You've certainly come to the right place.
