  1. Mt Ruth. It is past Baker and Shucksan. I think it is about a 7 mile hike up the trail and a pretty nice place to camp up at the base of the peak. Been afew years so you will have look at a map.
  2. Oh yeah. Sorry I forgot. If Rush didn't say it or it didn't run on Fox news, then it is propoganda. Thanks for posting your stinging reminder.
  3. That's why I am so thankful that republicans work so hard to keep people from voting.
  4. Did you see this ?
  5. Actually, this can be a great place to met other climbers if you are willing to ignore the ones with personal issues bubbling over into their internet exchanges. Try posting in the partners forum for something specific. Also include what your experience level is, what gear you have, and what you can contribute like a ride, gas money, beer, etc. But be specific. For instance, look at a few guide books there at the gym and pick a route or two that are likely to be in season and post for a partner for one of those on a specific weekend. This is a difficult time of year to count on the weather btu Vantage can still be good and even Leavenworth might have some climbing if you can stand a few drips. Also peruse the Partner forum for other people who sound like you and get together with them. Getting out anywhere will help your alpine preparedness if nothing else. Cheers.

  13. I will tell you over a few beers in a month and some change. Deal? Deal.
  14. I'm going in to Colchuck lake. I'll be exploring the boulder field in the basin above the pond by Colchuck lake. The boulders are huge and stacked three high in places. A guy went missing up by Colchuck a few years ago and I would just like to eliminate that boulder field as a possibility. I could use a backup with solid anchor and jumaring skills. PM me if interested.

Why can't we all just get along?
  16. I would love to see Cheney in jai but this does not seem like the way it is going to happen. "The indictment has not been seen by a judge, who could dismiss it. The grand jury in Willacy County, in the Rio Grande Valley near the U.S.-Mexico border, said Cheney is "profiteering from depriving human beings of their liberty," according to a copy of the indictment obtained by Reuters. The indictment cites a "money trail" of Cheney's ownership in prison-related enterprises including the Vanguard Group, which owns an interest in private prisons in south Texas." The Vanguard group is huge. I have a mutual fund with them. Why have I not been indicted? Inquiring minds want to know.

  24. I have a pair of these or actually, the next model lighter, from five years ago. http://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Asolo-Mens-Fugitive-GTX-Boot_88515_10208_10000001_-1_ I like them a lot. They take strap on crampons well and climb rock pretty well as approach boots go. Like the review at the bottom, I bought em and hiked up Rat creek to do the Mole and hiked back out. No hot spots or blisters. I have a wide foot.
