  1. I do, to a degree, especially with voter referendums. Saturation of a message. Limited, but it has an effect. Put it on the glass, comes off clean and easy.
  2. I've gotten quite a few middle fingers and people shouting obcenities at me for my 'No on 36' sticker (36 is the constitutional ammendment to ban gay marriage). I don't think they are very liberal. WTF is your point Greg?
  3. 6 for 7 in your last post, not a bad record.
  4. Couple of online resources for finding music: Willamette Week - http://www.wweek.com/ Portland Citysearch - http://portland.citysearch.com/
  5. Nope, you're talking about Ringlers then. The Annex is too small for even one pool table.
  6. Ringlers is actually below Lola's room. Ringlers Annex is east on the corner of Burnside and Stark (and the only cool McMennamin joint IMO).
  7. Or worse, one time at the Bivy I swear there was a heffer in labor ALL DAMN NIGHT LONG. F-ing cows.
  8. I'll be kicking rocks on anyone making noise after 10 this weekend. Really though, sometimes it gets a bit out of control there, but its pretty rare. It's a big campground, if you want some quiet just up and move. Or keep drinking till you pass out which will likely be my game plan this weekend. btw, Happy BDay Ryland!

    Funny Post

Ahhh, but I bet you wear your PRG belay card when you climb outside?
  10. But Bush seems to just get dumber and dumber 'on-the-job'....
  11. Might want to add a post the the smithrock.com bbs, not too many people read it but ya never know: http://www.smithrock.com/bbs
  12. I think the belay anchors are there to help facilitate the cluster-f*ck that ensues as climbers lead up the normal route, the variation, and the retro-bolted slab all while some party tries to rap off.
  13. TGR's web page has a whole bunch of showings for WA and OR though
  14. I wonder if anyone will start unloading the old ones at a semi-reasonable price when the new C4s come in....
  15. Greg, why else would they poll 'likely voters' with 12% more Republicans? Do you think they just forgot to check this?
  16. Yeah no kidding, their last poll was 8% differential and they took crap for it (not in the major news outlets of course which still cited them), now they're at 12%. Scott, you are missing the point.
  17. Two glorious days of cragging in the Gorge. Absolutely idyllic weather. I love fall.
  18. Bah. Civility sucks. Ban Minx.
  19. Boycott Meadows!
  20. Of course it can be done. But you can get more vertical in a day of lift skiing than a week in the backcountry. And unless you have great conditions it's going to be very hard to learn good technique outside of a resort. My 2 cents.
  21. If you've never skied before, I'd recomend picking up some cheap downhill gear (ski swaps or used rentals from a shop) and spending some time inbounds. Tough to get good in the backcountry unless you have perfect conditions.

    Stupid Car Names

    Canyonero. Ya!
  23. $280 on Telemark Pyrenees for the Comforts.
  24. I'll give a to the Dynafits, I have the Tri-Steps. I've done some fairly aggressive skiing in them, inbounds and out and never had a problem, other than the little knob on the back that serves as the heal lift (they've made this much sturdier on the newer models) which was easy to replace. Once I got used to them I found them just as easy to get in and out of as my downhill setup. I still get a little sketched sometimes because they just don't look strong (though neither do old-school downhill bindings) but I have since trusted them in many 'no fall' situations.
