  1. i use the t1 but i've only tele'd one season and can't compare them to anything but alpine boots. they are much more comfortable and nicer to tour in. LOL. they are quite stiff and tend to overpower little me once my legs start to go (which doesn't take long). but that said, coming from an alpine background i like the support of the t1 a lot and feel like i could ski the same stuff once i acquire the necessary skills. they come with a thermoform liner.
  2. yesterday i drove to denver, tonight i'm off to park city so i can SKI (the bird?) tomorrow.
  3. that's nothing. search for "thelawgoddess" ... my cc.com profile is the first hit.
  4. ouch.
  5. somtimes i use tall people with long arms for this. and along those lines, i think stick-clipping would be akin to pinkpointing.
  6. by the time i get to seattle there will be nothing left!
  7. camping next to the water out past the train tracks can be really nice, but i wouldn't do that one alone. drunken hooligans everywhere!
  8. i'm up for the bugs. i'll be in squish this summer and quite happy to explore stuff up north ...

    snoqualmie falls avalanche is yum.
  12. i spent many nights in my car in the smoke bluffs lot. i felt safer having other people around me. the one time i slept by the rec center i felt a little exposed to hooligans.
  13. my g14's will fit on my tele's.
  14. yeah, i want a big one that compresses smaller when i don't need to fill it ... which is something osprey packs are good at doing. i like small packs, too, and i have a couple of 30-35L ones - but they're really not made for heavier loads and can't hold everything i need.
  15. yikes. never found anything broken. yet.
  16. snoboy already put a link to that above.
  17. frigid-weather multi-day tours where i also might need to haul loads of climbing gear. i just don't see a 50L pack as being big enough. you think a 70L will be too much? i had a 62L that i used to use for glaciated volcanoes but i never used it for more than 2-3 day trips.
  18. cute ... but i'm in the market for something a little bigger.
  19. try the guys at http://laslenasski.com/ ... based out of whistler.
  20. i missed the video. i can't say i'm really surprised by rossi, though. i wasn't really "impressed" with the original scratch graphic either. do you think that says anything about their sponsored skiers and/or target audience?
  21. how lucky ...
  22. 'bout time you got legal!
