genepires Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I was excited for Obama but Bernie is the real deal. I actually donated to his campaign. Go Bernie, Go! Quote
Ben Beckerich Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I'd never even heard of the guy till some Facebook "whose your candidate" quiz said my socio-economic-political views lined up best with his. As a liberal who appreciates ALL of the Constitution (even that pesky 2nd Amendment), his record looks spotty, but not horrible... you know shit is bad when "not horrible" is actually a compliment. But I don't vote, so it's irrelevant. You guys can do whatever you want with the place... it's cool with me. Quote
Fairweather Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Yes, socialism and individual freedom tend to not get along very well. That said, it's refreshing to hear a candidate like Sanders who says what he actually believes. Quote
JasonG Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 But I don't vote, so it's irrelevant. Truly don't care, or don't think it will make a difference? Quote

kevbone Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 He is going to be trouble for Hillary....my prediction is she will recognize this and ask him to be her running mate. Quote
billcoe Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Mate? He has too much integrity for Hillary. Besides, she doesn't swing that way. Quote
KaskadskyjKozak Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 he's too old. 74 this year. come on folks - be consistent. If McCain was too old, so is Bernie Quote

pink Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 i thought all the liberals wanted to get all the old people out of office to further their political agenda? Quote

That said, it's refreshing to hear a candidate like Sanders who says what he actually believes. He is hardly a socialist. He has self-identified as a socialist. From Wikipedia: Sanders is the longest-serving independent in U.S. congressional history. A self-described democratic socialist,[4][5][6][7] he favors policy proposals similar to those of mainstream social democratic governments in Europe, particularly in Scandinavia.[8][9][10] Those funny numbers in square brackets are reference, K-bone, linkable from Wikipedia. ;-) Quote
Pete_H Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 He is going to be trouble for Hillary....my prediction is she will recognize this and ask him to be her running mate. Except that running mates aren't selected until after the party nomination. Nice try though. Quote

Fairweather Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Early choices: Scott Walker, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, and, maybe, Rand Paul. Non-Starters: Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Rick Perry, Chris Christie (subject to change). And, oh yea, ANYONE BUT HILLARY. Quote
pink Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 My prediction, is that all you asshats, grow old, crusty and die.... that will be a good day Quote
Jim Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 With clowns like Trump and this guy, who knows who could pop to the surface. It's come to this Quote

Except that running mates aren't selected until after the party nomination. Nice try though. My point is she will realize she will not get the nomination and make a deal with Bernie to support her and together they will go on to rule the world. They are all puppets anyway. I am going climbing. Quote

Bernie Sanders, the candidate of integrity and honesty colluding with Hilary on some backdoor politics? No way! Quote
