WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Seattle Pubclub

Recommended Posts

Thinking of having a Seattle pub club soon (maybe next week). We just need to find a good place that is central enough to attract the most people. Please post up your favorite pub and we can haggle over this. Prefer a spot that has good parking available.

Free CC.com t-shirts to all that come till I run out. I may even have a prize for the person for the person who wears the silliest hat. There will be no pushup contests, though no guarantees.

Come meet up and tell us what you've been up to, even it it hasn't been climbing or skiing.

I vote for Von Trapps, cheap to free parking depending on time. Fun atmosphere and bocce ball is a hoot.

+1 for Von Trapps. I don't know how the owners of the dray managed to make the yard feel like a red robin, but they found a way!

Thursday is the only night I'm available next week so I hope it lands then. For those that haven't been, these are fun.

No love for the south side! Schooner Exact? Georgetown Liquor Company?

The Yard has a better beer selection though. I don't know who thinks anything in Capital Hill has easy parking unless Pub Club is on a Tuesday at three in the afternoon. Last time I went to Von Trapps there was a 90 minute wait for food so we left.

Regardless though, PUB CLUB!!!!

Outside of the core of downtown and Capitol Hill makes parking easier.

Georgetown has some good spots as does the Greenwood area

WE GONNA DO DIS.

It isn't going to happen this week with me there as things are cray with Ulee's baseball season starting up. But next week, lets do it. Thursday? Seems like Von Trapps got a lot of votes, and I'm for doing it where the most people can get there. And then we can do it again somewhere else after that.

So who can do this? Or will it just be me and Rob sitting around talking about Aeropress brewing methods?

Von Trapps, Thursday night, probably after 7pm for me.

Does anyone else want a shirt?

I'm not that good at bocce, I'm more of an extreme croquet guy. I can drink "bier" ok.
