ivan
the liberal media can't answer you right now - they're too busy sleeping off the annual hangover after once again losing the fucking War on Christmas !

ivan
The media is corporate. Best answer what though is your definition of "news?" in theory, every jackass w/ a twitter account or a smartphone or access to teh intrewebs can provide you with news, and thus put whatever cooties said person contains into said news... Ben Beckerich
I haven't watched "the news" in about three years... I really couldn't tell you a damn thing, to be honest. Same goes for any and all TV, aside from the occasional episode of Archer or High Gear on Netflix.

JasonG
There is "news" for every political stripe, including conspiracy theorists. You can always find what you want to hear, and post a link in spray to back up your position. Caveat emptor.

Crux
I'm afraid that I'm just a bit too stunted at an adolescent level of cognition to be able to respond to this question in other than black and white terms. Therefore, what? Is?

Woodcutter
The media are owned by the corporations and promote the corporate agenda. Which means privatization (profits for elite business folk), war (profits for elite business folk), reduced government (so you can have more privatization (yeah, I will spare you), attacking all forms of collectivism (reduced profits (if you borrow your neighbors lawnmower) (unions etc)). Oh, and stupidity (advertising and unchallenging op-ed), so you can’t work any of this out for yourself. Unless you mean the ‘free’ media. Who don’t get to relentlessly pump their message via the TV into what’s left of the American brain.

tvashtarkatena
People may relentlessly refer to me as the town pump, and I'll admit I do like the occasional massage, but I assure you there's plenty Left of the American brain. Pretty much most of the known universe. Yours, Tv Edited January 22, 2014 by tvashtarkatena
