Â A lot of these mines are outside of the US so getting government regulations that can effect them may not be possible. The only other option is to reduce demand. It isn't necessarily your "fault" but we're all part of the demand driving their existence. Â The pictures I posted are from a Bauxite mine which produces aluminum. The other half of your gear (that isn't made from petroleum products) is made from aluminum. Aluminum extraction is one of the most polluting of all mining.
