tvashtarkatena Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 (edited) File now to get on the World Court's docket, RD. There's a wait list. Unfortunately for your cause, it's in Europe. Edited February 9, 2010 by tvashtarkatena Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Cuz, you know, it's the audience, not the messengers. Quote
G-spotter Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 MOOOOOOM the other kids are PICKING ON ME! And hitting me BACK when I hit them! I wanna super-moderated forum NOWWWWW so they can't bug me no more! Quote
AlpineK Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I'm not sure Raindawg can carry on/participate in a serious debate about the subject of bolting with out use of [img:center]http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/data/503/Yes_You_.gif[/img] It would be interesting to see it happen. Rogers Corner Read the last few posts above. We got your attention, didn't we! And the Via Ferrata photo we so enjoy is intended to put things into perspective....it's just one step beyond sport-climbing in so many ways! Grabbing my attention? Sure the picture did, and I think it is a amusing photo. The thing is it helps a thread turn to a clown show. I like a good clown act! Laughing at a picture doesn't make me jump to the conclusion that you have the correct viewpoint though. If your goal is to make a serious point then you have to save the circus act for later. Nice that ya met Rodger of Rodger's Corner. Quote

No, dude....it ain't a clown show....see any clown costume??? no, he's pointing at the majority...it's just one step beyond the acceptable parameters of today's "climbers" beloved "sport" mentality. Get the point? Quote
Hugh Conway Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Clowns? Did someone send in the assclowns? Quote
j_b Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 My guess is that rock wear on popular climbs(limestone is soft) is a much more pressing sustainability issue in Europe than via Ferratas Quote
Hugh Conway Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 My guess is that rock wear on popular climbs(limestone is soft) is a much more pressing sustainability issue in Europe than via Ferratas so what about the granite areas in europe? Quote
j_b Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Well, granite areas don't have via ferratas like in the picture. Via ferratas exist pretty much only where limestone crags are ubiquitous, which is all of southern Europe. Quote
G-spotter Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Another worthless contribution. MOOOOOOMMMMMMMMY! G-Spotter's making WORTHLESS CONTRIBUTIONS AGAIN! Quote
Bug Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I'm sure those are all top notch contributions to society. Quote
Bug Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I wonder how many of those are complaints about how other people post too much or what they are posting about? Not that there's anything wrong with that. Quote

Get the point? Yeah. Today's "climbers" actually "climb" while yesterday's "climbers" "don't". They sit and chew on their own anti-bolting cud and occasionally gack out yet another vomitous wad of overly masticated ethical spew. Quote
Off_White Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Oh fine, post another clown shot to contribute to the discussion Heywood Jablowme of Sumas, WA. Quote
Choada_Boy Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Yes, but this clown was preserving finite resources for future generations. Raindawg should approve of that. Quote
Bug Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Look at his eyebrows and his facial expression. That clown is evil. I'm guessing he's wearing an ankle braclet. As all powerdrill bolters should. Quote
Choada_Boy Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 That's Pogo the Clown a.k.a. John Wayne Gacy. He was a hit at birthday parties. Once they caught up to him he had 26 young men and boys in his crawlspace and had left at least 7 more in the river. His basement cache left undiscovered would have made an excellent tomb for some future archeologist. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) On a little cross thread note, Gacy famously tried to stuff himself to the point where his head would snap off during his scheduled hanging in an attempt to avoid it, claiming such an eventuality would constitute cruel and unusual punishment. The state didn't buy it, though. Die, fatty! Edited February 10, 2010 by tvashtarkatena Quote

tvashtarkatena Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 You're right. In Illinois. Who am I mixing him up with? Quote
rob Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I seem to remember something like that in Washington years back where the guy was so fat he argued that hanging would cause his head to pop off or something. Quote
Bug Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I think a lot more people would be in favor of capital punishment if they got to watch soemone's head pop off. Unfortunately, The Jerry Springer Show crowd usually doesn't register to vote. Quote
