Dechristo Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 "They" predict the number of those traveling more than 50 miles for this holiday will surpass all previous numbers, despite fuel prices. Are you (like myself) among those traveling? gonna find out if my oldest daughter in Denver has a functional smoke alarm. Quote
nkane Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I'm heading back to Boston and connecting through Vegas. I'm dreading it. I'm worried i'll miss the turkey. Quote

Sherri Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 My holiday travel plans consist of walking up the driveway to watch the inlaws eat a turkey. Quote

kevbone Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I'm heading back to Boston and connecting through Vegas. I'm dreading it. I'm worried i'll miss the turkey. My wife and I flew to Boston for Thanksgiving two years ago. My first time on the east coast…..loved it. It took 20 hours to get home due to faulty plane. Quote
Bug Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Was going to Msla but the roads are icy and my daughter has a B-Ball tourney. Will look for ice around Soqualmie. Anyone know of a place that needs volunteers for Thanksgiving? I peel potatoes, bake turkeys, and serve gruel. Preferably on the East side. Quote
archenemy Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I'm going to Index again to enjoy some peace and quiet. So far no snow this year. Bummer. Quote
selkirk Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 The inlaws do chilli, beer, and put the christmas tree So how is living right next to the inlaws Sherri? Quote
Sherri Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 The inlaws do chilli, beer, and put the christmas tree So how is living right next to the inlaws Sherri? I want to spend the holiday with the Selkirks! Sounds like a good time. My mother-in-law is one of the finest folks you'd ever hope to meet. We're lucky to have her so close. Quote
selkirk Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Cool inlaws certainly make life more pleasant, I think I got very lucky in that respect:tup: Some inlaws are too close if they're in the same state though We'll be within a mile of Mrs. Selkirk crazy ass uncle, and hopefully he'll never know Quote

rmncwrtr Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Like Sobo, they're coming to me. After fighting all the traffic and crowds at the stores today to get all the food and drinks, I'm glad I get to stay home! Quote
AlpineK Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I'm leaving Lake City for Eastgate tomorrow. I believe that's about 17 miles. I am going to fly to Nashville TN, but I'm not leaving till next week. Quote
nkane Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Amazing! The Vegas airport was almost empty, both my flights left early, and I landed in the Boston fog 45 minutes early. I've never had a flight go so smoothly any time, let alone the day before Thanksgiving. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 When I fly home for the holidays, I usually do it on Thanksgiving. There's never a crowd. The day before Thanksgiving is suicide. This year, it's at my place. Travel time: 10 seconds. Quote
jmace Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I am going to fly to Nashville TN, Nice..I just got back from Kentucky/Cinncinatti..no probs flying for me..although looked like NY was having problems..you should catch the Titans I think they are playing, I went to the Bengals game and was great although I think hawks fans are waaay more lively My aunt said the Army fottball games at West Point are really awesome..gonna try that one day.
