marylou Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I will be there Friday night with another cc.commer. We can't get out of Seatown until about 4, so will be getting in evening-time-like. Quote
corvallisclimb Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 i will show up but im not old enough to drink so dont worry Quote
NYC007 Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 does this campground have limited camping? or not a prob? Quote
corvallisclimb Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 you will be fine, if some how you couldnt find a spot in the immediate campground you can continue up the dirt road to one of many more secluded spots. Quote
kevbone Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 does this campground have limited camping? or not a prob? There is HUUUGGGEEE field just outside the actual campground. It could hold 500 campers. Quote
sketchfest Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 are they charging at the hollow now or is it a "donation"? Quote
G-spotter Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 does this campground have limited camping? or not a prob? There is HUUUGGGEEE field just outside the actual campground. It could hold 500 campers. Â and it DOES hold 100 or so cows Quote

ivan Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 are they charging at the hollow now or is it a "donation"? Â It is free!! nothing so nice as an ultra-girl telling you its free to recharge ye olde spank bank Quote
Dechristo Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Spill the beans: Â Casualties? MIA's? Any still sittin' in the pokey? Â Photos? Quote
enelson Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 umm, seriously ? that was it you guys? you all were talking so big about how hard you were going to party this weekend, and all i heard at skull hollow was the hippy drum circle . i met marylou and jens, both totally cool , thanks for the belay device ml , but where was everybody else? i guess as somebody new to this site it was first hand experience that most of the stuff said on here is pretty much bull . hahaha, maybe it was better i didn't meet up with all you "hard party people" cause the early morning climbing was perfect . ivan Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 small turnout this year - the crazy bongo thang was way bigger for sure - i drank for 10 and had a blast hanging out w/ pete, tyler, drew, dan, mike, ica, jens, kevin, timmay and quite a few others whose names i've learned many times and never succesfully remembered  factors that made it small? a - good weather in the alpine b - all the cool kids are in washington and don't feel like driving so damn far c - no beer/centralized scene friday night d - wa rope up next week e - crowds ruin climbing (tuff-land was packed saturday but the gorge was sublime and sparsely populated sunday)  fav route of the week - the mines of moria, what a fawking weird-o anomaly! in creaky dank darkness i got trapped under an immense, thin flake just below the chains that rocketed down the chimney when i tried to crawl under it narrowly missing decapitating layton and severing the rope - orc attack! Quote
layton Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 I have a good time with the folks that were there. Nothing like two or three years ago where it was full on mayhem! It gets smaller each year. Quote
olyclimber Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Good times will come again. Lately Timmy has been pretty busy, and didn't have time to really promote it this year. I'm sure the TuftLove next year will be a blast. We might want to either have Ropeup at a different time, or maybe combine the events for one big party? We'll see. Â I couldn't make it down, but thanks for drinking my portion Ivan. Sounds like it was a fine time anyway. Quote
gapertimmy Posted October 10, 2006 Author Posted October 10, 2006 Yep it wasn't quite the festival of three years ago, but it was super cool to see some old friends and meet some new ones. Indeed I need to do a better job organizing/promoting.... but for the time being I need to do some drinking (of the left over keg). Â That being said, anyone in Bend Friday night (13th), stop by my house for some beer and ski pr0n. Quote
kevbone Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 I happened to be at another party but hung out with some CC.comers. Great LED frisby session. Nice to meet you Ivan, Marylou, Jens, and Mike Layton. Â I drank too much! Quote

carolyn Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 No doubt the group was smaller because Kurt and I were unable to attend this year! Â Glad those who made it had a good time. Im missing my annual trip out there big time! Â Next year fer sure! Â Hope you have fun at Rope up in Lworth! Â carolyn Quote
snoboy Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Hell, I even made it! finally... and then there was not too many there. Maybe I should have promoted my going. Â It was a good weekend of hooking up with old friends though. Â Man - beer and ski pr0n sounds like a good idea... too bad it's such a long drive! Quote
