olyclimber Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 ancient legend tells of pirate treasure at its base Quote
Mos_Chillin Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Fuggedaboutit! I agree it looks good... from a distance. Quote
roboboy Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 how about the world's longest bolted sport route ? Quote
willstrickland Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Really bad rock. Also infested with snakes, bears, rabid goats. Rockfall is continuous. It is cold, and always rains. There is a 47 mile bushwack approach through nothing but slide alder and devils club. It is haunted by an old miner's ghost, and thick with mosquitos. Also ticks, and locusts. I hear someone even got a mysterious case of syphillis from a rare bacteria that grows on the lichen there. Stay away at all costs. Don't do it man. For the love of god, don't do it! Quote
JosephH Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Arrrgggh mateys! We scooped the tourista directissima long ago - and hands off our booty at the base... Quote
olyclimber Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 that's Sky and Ross's ski descent. My via ferrata plans are much more direct. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I don't know anyone who would get near that thing Quote
Rad Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Duderinos! The force is strong with Colin now. He spent last Friday polishing his climbing and schwacking skills by giving my lengthy laurel a haircut. He should send that proj by the end of the week (at V+, 5.9+, A2-) ...even without completing the mountie class on gravel anchors... No mere mortal that boy. Quote
matt_warfield Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 The force is strong with Colin now. No mere mortal that boy. Being around Steve House in the Himalaya has just made it worse. Quote
Alpinfox Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Hey! Speaking of Steve House, I heard Steve House lives in Bend now. I think Fred Beckey told me that. Or maybe it was Ricardo Cassin. Quote
cook Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I saw alpinfox at a bar once. And oly licked my old girlfriends's shirt while she was in it. And I'm friends with the guy who threw up on his pants at ropeup. Quote
dan_forester Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I saw Donny Baker at teh libary last night, swear to God man. Quote
cj001f Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Hey! Speaking of Steve House, I heard Steve House lives in Bend now. I think Fred Beckey told me that. Or maybe it was Ricardo Cassin. I thought a bright orange fartbag told you Quote
Alpinfox Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 It's true. I'll be basking in Steve House's old stale farts this winter while puttering up some WI2 testpieces. The things I do for charity... Quote
matt_warfield Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Arrrgggh mateys! We scooped the tourista directissima long ago - and hands off our booty at the base... Such a bummer that there is a logging road cut into such a nice peak. Quote
