chirp
At the Mass Transit Wall on the Kolob terrace in Zion in the late 90's. I was in charge of protecting the goods. Some of the goods...100' thin hands and tips corner...

BreezyD
I think this one from this weekend takes the cake in capturing my sheer unattractiveness. Taken of me, by me, at 10:00 p.m. in the tent at Muir on summit night when I couldn't sleep. Can you say bored? And what is with the size of my nose? Some sort of altitude-related edema? Blech. willstrickland
Big nose = lens. You need approx. a 100mm lens to give your face proper depth proportions. Otherwise your nose will look big (wider angle lens) or flat (telephoto). That's why "portrait" lens are typically in the 95-110mm range. You can also simulate the "soft focus" filter effect often seen in portraits by stretching a section of ladies' hose taut over the lens. BreezyD
Does that mean my cheeks aren't actually that chubby either?

catbirdseat
I've got one of me that will win this contest, if I can only find it. It was a self portrait taken at arms length at the summit of Bald Mountain. Looks like a spent a Night on Bald Mountain. I was even wearing a (GASP) Seattle Sombrero. The flash reflected off my tongue for a weird effect.
