Monday, hiked up old Mt. Si trail with a heavy pack to top of Haystack in 2 hours flat. On return to parking lot, met JHamaker pulling up to climb at Little Si. Lot all full. Was more than happy to give a fellow cc.com person my parking spot.

LOL. sounds like fun. Was it the kind of hail that dented cars and shit? I've seen that on various "real video" shows on TV but never witnessed it. Aside from the damage, I always thought it would be cool to witness from a safe distance.

Sat - hike in sun and caught lizards along Umtanum Creek. Saw some bighorns, took a nap in the sun. Sun - house stuff and a run. Mon - volunteered at the cemetery and cleaned up some Vet graves with the VFW crew. Went on a 30 mi spin later in the day and though about the WWII stories I heard earlier in the day.

That sounds pretty cool. What types of lizards? Do you keep them as pets or just check them out?

Sat - worked on the house all day, mudding and taping, painting some walls. Worked on the boat. Watched Harry Potter 2.

Sun - worked on the house most of the day, tried to get out to 38 in the evening but it was soaking wet. Tried to go to gym, but it was closed. Listened to Mariners choke again. Watched Thirteen.

Monday - worked ou the house most of the day. Got plain sick of it!!#?!@ Tried to go to 32, but weather looked suck towards the East, so went to gym and pulled plastic til 7. Finally some exercise! Went shopping to Home Depot, home and watched The Godfather (I'd never seen it!)

Saturday: Got up at 3:00 AM after staying up until 12:30 to watch Return of the King. Drank much coffee and Red Bull on the way to Smith. Thrutched up 7s, 8s, and 9s. Was very happy for partly cloudy. Spiderman is a cool route.

Drank too much beer with other cc.com'er that night and sang happy b-day to AlpineK. Much talk of Cialis and red skis around the fire. Fell asleep in a cush camp chair while watching the fire burn out.

Sunday: Set a new anti-speed record for Moscow when we started up unaware that approximately 231 Mouties were sieging the route above us. Got back to gear about four hours later. Back to Grasslands for more fun with fire.

Monday: Left Grasslands for Pole Creek at 11:00 PM. Hiking by 12:30 AM, post-holed up North Sis, down the south ridge, and then decided against the Triple Traverse. Skied 3000 vert back to the creek. Dinner at the Deschutes brewery where the 20-something waitress wins my heart forever by refering to me as "a kid". Home around 11:00. 2.5 hours sleep in a 44 hour stretch.

Who want to go do the Triple Traverse soon?

Speaking of lizards, I've been waiting for years for the subject to come up on cc.com. I've encountered lizards on the rock slides at the base of the west face of Guye Pk. I always wondered whether they were native or escapees from the luggage of someone from outside the area who was staying at Alpental. I don't think I've seen lizards in any other higher elevation areas in the Cascades. Who else has seen lizards in the Washington Cascades ?
