Now that we took advantage of the 1 in 5 year gorge ice what is there to do around here.

I always get cabin fever this time of year. The rock is wet and cold, the mountains are postholeville with high avy danger. What else is there besides the expensive rock gym?

Suggestions?

No lambone, no disrespect but I am a climber's climber I guess. I don't want to ski

In the not so distant past, skiing was a part of mountaineering. At least Anderl Heckmair claims so. Besides, it'll speed up the approaches and descents.

i try to avoid fondling loaded weapons while filled with feelings of self loathing brought on by seasonal affective disorder. sleeping for more than 10 hours per day is NOT a good thing. starting the day with a tumbler of old grandad or a jug of olde800 aint positive.

adrenaline is good though. a little urban mischief can help. buildering. span jumps. train hopping. tagging. arson. you know. the usual shizzle.

What they should do is head into the sisters and check out some sweet lines on Middle and n. side of south, and a few choice examples on Broken Top. Oh but wait, you don't ski. What a pity. Hood is so played-out.

I'm with you tex. I don't ski and aren't interested in taking up another sport. Although I'm considering getting some skis to approach stuff. But you could consider building a home wall or crack that you can adjust the width, etc.
