Happy New Year! Hope 2017 was a good year for you, and if it wasn’t then you’ve got a whole new year to work with!

Post up your goals for 2018 if you have any.

Climbing wise I honestly just want to get my fat ass out more this year. More just peak bagging and scrambling, just being outside!

Other than that it, now that we have a good platform I want to continue to make this website better. I also am looking forward to hunting deer and moose in SE AK with my brother and son.

I also have a simple goal of seeing how many sunrises I can see in one year. So far 1 for 1.

That sunrise goal is going to make you work for it in June and July.

I typically don't set New Year's goals, but I would like to continue to figure out my new camera, finally beat my tendonitis, and climb a few more things in Canada.  And finally get out with Oly!

Happy New Year!!! Thank you for your work on this site and the invaluable and hilarious forums, Olyclimber! And to you, JasonG, thank you for all of the inspiring and wonderful photos you always include in your trip reports...

My goals:

  1. Post more often here and on the TAY forums!
  2. Not die in an avalanche, car, or bike accident
  3. Do more yoga to keep the ol' sciatica in check
  4. Improve my skiing form and transition time
  5. Climb the N Ridge of Baker, then ski the Coleman-Deming
  6. Make a concerted effort to lead trips with less- and similarly-experienced people to get lost/improve my routefinding skills
  7. Climb and ski more often with other women/people who aren't cis men
  8. Go to more hot springs
  9. Go back for a third Oregon Volcano Fest with Andy and carry it into California to ski Shasta and Lassen
  10. Lose fewer socks

:brew:(I wanted the guitar-playing one but this'll do.)

My goal.  Get out when I can.  This climbing thingy comes after the priority with the family and job--gotta pay the gas bill to my climbing places somehow!

No more days off for watching Seahawks.  That's a relief.

Better stay away from most of us dudes in 2018 though.  We put the bastard in cis. :ghey:

😁 definitely!

My goals #6 and #7 were intricately linked, hopefully you understand 😎

PS Many of best friends and best climbing partners have been cis dudes.

Gonna have a fun year in the mountains of Washington!

Goals:

Lead wi4 on ice.

Lead 8s and maybe 9s on gear in alpine.

Lead 10s on gear at crag.

Make it into the Pickets and Mt. Olympus this summer.

Gunsights if I have time.

Rainier C2C?

Big year I guess.

Keep the streak of climbing at least one day a year alive. Surprisingly hard to pull off lately! Will also put  "Join VW-North" on the list if it actually gets completed this year.
