  1. You don't know beans about my politics %*&^wit avatar. I'm for freedom from opression; I don't particularly discriminate whether it's a state or company - because nowadays the two are almost interchangeable.

    Ashcroft Resigns

WTF! The elections over - and so's the war on terror
  3. Amen. Ahh yes - the right at its best. Subversion of the rights of the individual to a megalomaniac massive organisation is fine, as long as it's called a "corporation" and not a "state". Is a corporation still a corporation if it runs the government?

    Weather Sucks

He just doesn't like when people have taken harder classes than him
  7. ever read The Arms of Krupp? A history of Mercedes-Benz? A history of IG Farben? Major German corporations were an arm of the state JayB! There's a reason a numebr of them were tried as war criminals!
  8. They've cut done most of them in the past decade, because (and this is serious), they were killing too many drunk drivers.
  9. There's only one constitutional expert that matters - the supreme court. And they passed the buck when it went to them - we'll see when it comes up again.
  10. I've not climbed in the MLT4 But that and some lightweight skis w/Dynafits would be an uberlight combo.
  11. RAW files unless you have a long time to wait, or a computer to download to immediately.
  12. It was even called "corporatism" at the time.
  13. Gitmo not good enough for you Klenke? How about Jose Padilla? Brandon Mayfield - the Oregon lawyer they arrested & imprisoned "by mistake"?
  14. Most grants want either scientific research or "signifigant style". Dunno if the Harvard would qualify. Nevertheless try the American Alpine Club or the Mazamas
  15. Is that professional advice?
  16. I believe Klenke meant specific instances of constitutional violations. You merely restated the 6th Amendment. :cough: Gitmo :cough: Saw a funny cartoon from 1943 (Disney) talking about how "your taxes are helping beat the Axis". Couldn't help but laugh. "beat Bin Ladin but cutting taxes" doesn't have the same ring.

    Firefox 1.0

I've been using the Preview Release for a couple months now. Cons - can have occaisonaly weird formatting issues, occaisonal browser compatibility issues (AlaskaAir's website), pages with alot of images can load weird. I find I use it about 90% of the time now at home (work won't allow me to install it ) Pluses - In Browser search engines - several hundred different engine plugins available for it (those mentioned above, amazon, eBay, wikipedia, lots more), found firefox will load BB's like cc if ie is choking on them, pop up control, tabbed browsing . I only used a couple of the earlier versions of Opera. Overall this seems a much better implementation of some of the earlier Opera ideas like tabbed browsing, etc.

    Firefox 1.0

    Is released today
  20. I used a pair like this in NZ: Took me and a shitty on snow subcompact corolla on rutted ice, nasty snow and rock skifield roads. Stayed on, easier to tighten than standard chains. Don't know about durability - but I'd be willing to take a 2-3x hit on that for the convenience. Easy enough I'd consider getting a car with out 4wd.
  21. Check out the new "quick connect" chain (not cable) chains. Quick to put on (like 5 minutes total)

    mandatory voting?

Oregon, but with postage paid. All of these solutions would require the states ceding the federal government the power to run presidential elections; I believe that power currently resides with the states. That is unlikely to occur under a Republican administration (unless they really are fascist )
  23. Last picture I saw of him he looked as "living" as Keith Richards
  24. You posted on ttips, no? I saw that. Way more involved than I'm willing to go - don't have access to much of a machine shope right now. I was wondering if it were feasible to take the brake arm from Comforts and put it on Techs (basically swap out the attachment plates).
