    BIG CRYBABY

When it was collapsing? If anything I give more credit to Reagan's domestic policy's which magnified the already growing gulf between the Soviet states and the rest of the world.
  2. That would be "Call of the Wild" starring Clark Gable and Loretta Young.
  3. umm. Iain - did you know The Smith Rock guidebook is published by Falcon?
  4. I agree, I've also found the skin glue tends to stay cleaner with the tail attachments as well.
  5. When they said they want to emulate a Kiwi skifield; that's what I assumed. Let's say some of the fields are still in operation because the inspectors are too fat to walk up and see how sketchy things are... I've been to bigname ski areas that can't get their act together; I'm not sure why small areas would be any different.
  6. Aren't most of the Falcon guidebooks just rebadged guidebooks written by locals that Falcon acquired by buying up the local publisher They have some crappy books, but also excellent ones written by local climbers like Eric Horst's Rock Climbing Va, W Va & MD
  7. I've had Glidelite's, Ascensions (Purple and mohair) and Pomoca's, with the EuroTTP attachment, no tail, Clipfix tail, and G3 style tail. Of them, I liked the Purple Ascensions the best of the skin material, and the G3 style tail. With the exception of the Pomoca's none of them were bad skins. I'd find whatever's cheapest and buy those.
  8. Silvretta's are one of the easier bindings to mount. If you don't want to mount them yourself, Mtn Shop or OMC could.
  9. An older Climbing Gear Guide had tips for turning your Whisperlite into a hanging stove/windscreen. Buy a pot large enough to fit the stove, drill a bunch of wholes and stuff the Whisperlite in the bottom. Add wire and hang.
  10. So if the person programming the machine decides to decrease the required hole/mark size by say, 1% - which would decrease the votes alloted, this wouldn't qualify as an agenda?
  11. That applies to every ski place I've been to
  12. not exactly something to brag about. The date was September.... And I was just down in the Sierra. Kirkwood had all of the frontside open including sisters, before the 18" they got yesterday. The cascade resorts are in single digits

  14. Surf, hike, Turkey and a 3L bottle of wine.
  15. ummmm. Why would you want to by mixed climbing equipment when the winter's supposed to be above average temps?

Face it Fairweather, you just like a right leaning circle jerk vs a left leaning circle jerk. Fox News vs. CNN.

    Pentagon 9/11 - Film

Good God - they wouldn't let Cobra near Pentagon City Mall! Cobra Commander spends his time up the BW parkway at Ft Meade.
  19. Are you missing the point? Foam helmets absorb impact by permanent deformation, which makes them single hit helmets. If you mean safest by absorbing the greatest single impact this may be true. The advantage of the hardhat style helmets is they absorb impact by distributing it over a larger area, allowing multiple impacts.

    Dating at Work

The question is better phrased "how do you feel about your workplace turning into a catty immature backstabbing freeforall"

As with all good conspiracy theorists this one dismisses such evidence out of hand; I'm sure she, like my friends, mistook a commuter jet for a 757.
  22. I assumed pen and ink becuase of matters of cost/time. Could be woodcut.
  23. Did clark do the pen & ink as well? (I'm assuming from the name, yes) Any larger works?
