  1. It's minimal weight savings; even the F1 isn't that much lighter. You do get to use Dynafits, and Dynafits
  2. I use Lasers w/ Crossbows (187cm). They're more than fine.

Hey - nice pic in the City Sports Northwest magazine :woot:
  4. I've never seen a snowboarder who doesn't flail on the flats in powder. In truly deep snow it's funny too watch them come too a stop, then step off the board up to their waist. Rolling terrain ( like a drainage system) is murder for Snowboarders/Splits. They can set good skintracks - the only problem is they can be too steep with the massive skins on those things.
  5. Every so often a Salmon or Steelhead turns up in one of California's central valley rivers. You know, the rivers that had some of the largest salmon runs in history, but now run barely a trickle in the wet season. It's funny, but sad, watching all the ranchers call it a plot. Good to see us further support the already massively subsidized farming industry
  6. The growing concensus seem to find the Denali TT as stiff as most rec alpine boots, and say 90% of highend/race boots. Unless your driving big skis at mach speed (no, most people don't) you'll be fine with an AT boot.
  7. Powershield isn't much better in my opinion. Dry time is the Achilles heel of all of the softshell fabrics. I have the Serendipity glove (unlined IceFloe) Get something with a Gore-tex liner if you want to stay dry day after day.
  8. If your interested in pants for climbing stay away from the Symmetry and go with something that has a climbing cut; the Symmetry has a big cuff (which isn't really adjustable) that fits ski boots fine, but not clkimbing boots. They're also designed for long legged thin people. A different cut than normal. Dryskin Extreme won't be too warm for most of the cascades in summer when you'd want pants.
  9. Is your Dodge truck american?
  10. I always find it difficult to distinguish hyperbole from stupidity when dealing with the right.
  11. Subaru makes the Legacy, Outback and Baja in Lafayette, IN I'm sure the Toyota Tacoma's on your hit list - Fremont, Ca. How about the BMW X5 - Spartanburg, SC.
  12. And all the monkeys aren't in the zoo everyday you see quite a few so you see it's all up to you, you could be better than you are you could be swinging on a star
  13. It's all the more galling when you look at Regula's Website. All 10 of his press release's are for pork in his juridiction.
  14. Yet Again Harpell doesn't answer any questions asked of him
  15. Or that scene in Episode 3 where Anakin becomes Darth...
  16. Answer the question asked of you Harpell (you've dodged them so far). Name one major non-Christian group lobbying schools to teach Creationism. Explain the false dichotomy between religion and science. Quit ducking (like every other argument you've ever had on cc) and answer poseur.
  17. In theory Creationism != Christianity. In theory. In practice every group pushing creationism in the US is Christian.
  18. Not at all. Science is absent of the big "Why". Religion supplies the "why". And show me a creationist group that doesn't use a literalist, or at least a more literal interpretation of the bible. They certainly don't use the Jefferson bible
  19. Both hold old testament beliefs.
  20. If you interpret the bible literally there is a substantial compatibility issue; many of the groups objecting to evolution hold just such a view.
  21. i beg to disagree -- especially if you do much resort skiing when there isn't a bunch of pow. there are some days where a good carving ski or an all-mountain/park ski are much more fun than a fatty. And some where 200cm GS skis are much more fun
  22. The Russians already did it for us Dru, c'mon
  23. All of the above is true for "modern" tele gear, aka platic boots, active cable bindings, fat skis. Older gear will provide different results.

    BIG CRYBABY

I find it rather funny that the only way this system can continue is with the subjugation of others. This is a contradiction of the purpose of the manifesto. China's more a state controlled market economy than a "communist" economy now.
  25. Rando gear is the most practical for PNW skiing. Tele gear is better for more moderate approaches (Sierra) and if you like tele skiing. Splitboarding is for hardcore snowboarders. It's less practical than the above.
