I knew there was a reactionary conservative inside you Dave. My ex boss had a number of quirks. Most of them are pretty funny, but you would have had to been there. One thing that does stick out is the time the company went out to a breakfast meeting. My boss ordered his meal from the waitress and then yelled at her, "...,and bring it to me on one plate. I don't like this two plate crap."

How much climbing are you doing right now Rudy???? None...I thought so.
-
Yes but at least Bob gets to go to a city with a bit of entertainment not a bible thumping hellhole.

They look cool! I'd do them if I didn't have this phobia about doing grade 5 off the couch.
-
I saw that guy and his buddy waiting for the last Star Wars movie. I think it was in December and the movie opened in May. After a couple weeks I drove by Cinerama again and he was gone.

I skied past a bunch of good looking grade 5ish stuff just outside Baker ski area yesterday. I'm sorry I don't know the names of things around there but the climbs I saw are above a small lake past the saddle inbetween Herman and Table mountain. Somebody should go climb them!!! At least 2 of the dihedrals are fully in.

No matter how you spin it nalo you've come across as greedy and grasping. I mean you put in a couple hours of work and then you get a party afterwords. That sounds good to a lot of people, but you want people to buy beer and do all the organizing for a party just so you can show up and have a good time without doing anything. I kind of think the there isn't a need or a good place for a cc party at a crag in the spring. Leavenworth area has a lot of classes and I believe the VW has some kind of overhyped event there in the spring. Smith has the Spring Thing which I don't think we should try and compete with. The Spring Ski In is the next cc event and despite the name there's plenty of opportunity for alpine rock and lower elevation cragging. The way this winter is going there may be a lot more cragging in the spring. There will be plenty of chances for unsanctioned, unplanned partying at Smith this spring.

Happy birthday. Now try reading the thread...try looking at Bugs post.

Instead of sticking more pins in my voodoo doll that looks a lot like Rudy I went bc skiing around Baker today. 1' of powder...yes it ruled.

BC K2 X14's with fritchi bindings K2 Shuksans with dynafit bindings Area Skiing Elan MBX 16 (207 cm)with Marker rotamat bindings. I would just like to add that I hate the word quiver as applied to skiing.

I've never skied in the Sierras, but it's starting to look like a really good idea this winter.

Hey man I'm going to see the Hawks next weekend, and I'm not paying a dime...except for the 7 dollar beers. They'll probably lose; but just the same....Go Hawks.

You're asking a question that depends on two factors. 1. The space you have to cook in 2. The temperature at cooking time. In general I'd take a canister stove in the summer or whenever I was cooking on a non snow surface. In cold temperatures the isobutane canisters will burn the butane first and then the propane, so for half the life of the canister the stove will rock but it will suck for the last half. If you're going out in the winter and you have space for a white gas stove, take it. Likewise if you're climbing at higher elevation and it's winterlike then take the white gas stove as long as you have cooking space. If you're climbing a route with tiny ledges and you have to camp out then the gas canister stove may well be a better option no matter what the altitude.

How's the snow at Red? and Whitewater???

The first time I saw the poll it was way in favor of banning.
-
I talked to a friend on Saturday evening who had spent the day at Baker. He said the bottom of the hill was snow mixed with mud. Baker has the most snow of all the areas, so you connect the dots.
-
Oh I was banned. But you did unban me. I can't believe you spend money on a web site where the only thing that goes on is Trask, Mike Adamson, and Ray Borbon try and see who the biggest psycho is.
-
I've used filters when traveling with filter owners. I don't own one and thus don't use one. I've never had a problem. I am selective on where I'll drink from, but my selectivity goes down with thirst.

Yeah, I'm sure it is. I know they were building an aid climbing practice wall at the club house. Yes Mike I did watch the video...kids do the craziest things.
-
I guess I missed it when IG got banned. They should save some bandwidth and get rid of all the other forums other than the Battlecage; nobody uses the other ones.
-
I'm not sure...The last post I made I told them that they're all psycho and likely to go in to their place of work and shoot everyone. It might be something else though.

Did your neighbor hang the pig from a climb at the local crag? That's the shit.
