  1. I think both groups offer courses that provide good general skills. The mounties are pretty big compared to the WAC. Take whichever one you want but try and spend a lot of energy meeting fellow climbers and setting up your own private trips.
  2. Porkypricks
  3. Fight club tonight
  4. I've never roped up on a glacier. Pick your descent line carefully. I've followed this plan for years; I've scared myself a couple times, but I've always made it through. Roping up while skiing just leads to clusterfucks.
  5. There you go... keep your favorite mountain in order
  6. Thanks Steven. I'm trying to work hard so I can get back to doing crazy shit.
  7. Tarps make everything simpler
  8. I admire Messner for what he did. I know recently folks have done even crazier shit than Messner did, but he's still due a lot of respect.
  9. I've never actually met a snaffel, but back a long time ago I did run into a porcupine. The little fucker was chewing on a trail sign up in the Canadian Rockies. We were camped out and the little fucker pissed me off. I grabbed a rock and started aiming for the trail sign hoping to scare the little bugger. By accident I flat out nailed the little porker. It dropped to the ground and ran off. I'm glad I didn't kill the little fucker, but I am happy I freaked it out
  10. That's some crazy shit
  11. I'll probably keep up the walking, so give me a shout when you're up to it.
  12. I'm all for simple solutions

Good luck fixing the place up!
  14. I don't have quite the problems Kat does, but I am interested in getting back in shape. Right now I've mostly been going for walks, which is great, but I think I could start doing some easy cardio workouts at the gym. My doctors tell me to stick to walking. but I think I could be doing more. Any thoughts?
  15. I've got some pills that make me feel a little funny, but unfortunately they don't fuck me up
  16. I had a fun time doing most of the leading on that climb Carolyn. Yos is a great place. My toughest would probably be the Cassin Ridge. We did that in the mid 80's. It wasn't the most technical thing I ever did, but it was a big event that I'm quite proud of. There is one bad bit. I've lost touch with my two partners Rick and Greg. The last I heard they were in Ca. It would be nice to talk to them again.
  17. Spray away
  18. I've done a few trips in that area. There's some fantastic skiing
  19. The doctors didn't hook me up with oxy, but if you want to share I'm ready to party!
  20. Thanks everybody. I'm briefly back at my place for a little bit. Pretty soon I'm back to the parents house. I'll try and do the only exercise which I can do which is go for a walk.
  21. I wish I could say I was staying here, but I'm headed back to my folks house for the time being even though there's no power. I've got a few days of PT coming up this week. I'll try and post when I can.
  22. Not too bad, I've even managed in doing a little cooking. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but it does take me a lot of effort
  23. Thanks C. One positive thing is I'm posting from my house I'm just spending the night, but hopefully I'll be here more in a couple days.
  24. Well some of my meetings with the doctors have been a little stressful. It seems they don't want me skiing until next season, and one of the doctors thinks I should forget climbing. They just don't have a clue about how important that is to me. I like to think I'll make it back, but I just don't know. All I have to say is fuck the doctors.
  25. I wish I could say I was drinking a Guiness, but I'm not that lucky. I just get 3 pills a night.
