I wonder if Lowell has some pictures he could post from some of the other gullies on the east side of the Liberty Bell/EWS peaks? Seems like some good alternate gully climbs that I've always wondered about for fun spring climbs with short approach. Well short except for the drive.

I don't read any ski descent claims, or first claims just another great TR with lots of good information. How about a hot springs TR...

I would think any trip from Cascade Pass to Suiattle River would logically be referred to as a Ptarmigan Traverse. At the same time I love Blakes suggestion that the original Ptarmigan Traverse has not had a second ascent. Just seems cool, and amazing in this day of super climber feats. Not that you need to climb any summits to have a great PT trip, just one way to help understand the talent and excitment for exploration that the original group seemed to have.

wow, cool pictures, especially like the cornice shots. I'm wondering if you have a picture of the NW face of dragontail? you don't really see what I want to see in the view from the lake, but a shot from up on Colchuck, or even from the glacier on the descent would be most appreciated if you have one. beautiful looking weekend.

snice looking climb. First time I heard that word, and now I see it on a couple of TR's. Great looking climb. I sure enjoyed reading all the cool TR from an awesome weekend of alpine climbing. I don't know if there is any connection to the plane parts you saw, but in about 1980 they crashed a couple of helicopters up there for the filming of a funny movie "High Ice". -
I know the route has been climbed in winter in one long day at least once, probably more. I almost made it in a day with smiling white knuckles one time. We didn't see any ski tracks.... stay away from our climbs ski dudes

I've heard that route isn't in condition this year, what the hell you trying to say...

There is an excellent story by Harvey Manning. in the Mountaineer. I forget the year. I think its called The Ptarmigans and their P Trips. All the gorey details are there.

Three Brothers sounds good too. Where did you park G?

where is Korthaus?

JZ, It didn't seem over bolted to me. I hope I'm thinking of the right climb. One thing to keep in mind is the rock is not great for pro. I seriously doubt people would climb this route at all without the bolts. Sure you can second guess a bolt or two, but considering the big picture it seems like a job well done. I certainly enjoyed the climb.
-
Seems like the bolt is in a good place. Out of sight, but still there for the parties who want some pro.

"PMS asked if I knew of any ascents of Supercrack. I know its been climbed a few times but with a hang or two. The odd thing is I know of very few people who have ever wanted to go hike over to even attempt it because it is a pain to get too." Seems like an odd reason. The hike isn't any farther that upper town wall is it? Shortage of bolts is another theory.

No details, but I understand that Colin is down safely from his solo effort. I expect he will check in here with all of his cc friends once he gets to a computer. Congratulations to Vince and Steve. Looking forward to hearing more details.

Being a little bit familiar with the climb (top-rope), replacing the bolt, or moving the bolt, or whatever makes sense, sounds good to me. Right on to erikn for asking others opinion. I wonder how many of the anti bolt folks know the climb and the bolt in question? There are some killer climbs at Midnight, so it benifits everyone I think to be discussing the issue. Hey peterpuget or anyone else, do you know of any super crack ascents?

Team Goodman/Beavon a success in the Karakorum!

Cool, Great to hear your dad had a good trip. Post a picture or 3 when you get the chance. Supposedly some new secret peaks.
