  1. or maybe a Devil suit.
  2. I got a couple stings on the Boston Basin bushwack at two different spots on the way in, and my partner one on the way out. This was Monday. Gary sounds like the winner so far, but heard rumors of even more stings from Bear Mt. recently. Killer bees and vanishing glaciers...
  3. what about those two nice looking chuncks of rock left (west) of the new line left of 236. Maybe Janez would like them, or is one of them Cappuccino? 6 feet of snow, yikes. Bold climbing indeed. Pretty cool when the climbers give the Mt. a chance.
  4. Might as well bust out the wheel chair Mr. Juan, sit back and enjoy the show.
  5. Burgundy - Chianti tomorrow? Dig that sweet rock in yor pics.
  6. anyone sleepy afterwards?
  7. Sierra's might be good this fall.
  8. "i don't know what's funnier. the fact that jim wouldn't sell camalots, but would sell KONG Frogs" Bolts are so much easier to deal with than cracks, and QD's so light. What do you say crackbolter(Tony)?

the snow is gone, but the bugs have arrived. you should hope for cool windy day. No bugs on the summits last weekend.

  12. Paul, How many Cascade volcanos have you conquered? JR is the man. Does anyone know the Cascades as well as John Roper?
  13. approaching Beckey mileage, impressive. Maybe you can maintain the pace for another 60 years and counting? I believe his white Jetta had over 500,000 miles on it. When he sold it the upholsty looked like new, as he had it covered with a sheet the whole time he owned it.
  14. Hey John, Do you have a picture showing the NW Face? Some people were wondering about its condition. You Portland guys are awesome btw. Do you have a fast vehicle?
  15. I see you are recommending snowshoes as your prefered method of snow travel. Does this mean you are getting rid of your skis? No more messy waxing....
  16. Right on! Nice to have that one in condition. Maybe you will have some pictures.
  17. Good thread. A good 25-30 failures on Stuart for me.
  18. Nice, say has anyone scouted around on SS NE side? Seems like there might be something mixed there.
  19. 48 or 49 John, though not always to the very summit. SWK and I took a nice break where we hit the summit ridge, and then followed your tracks down in a hurry.
  20. NW face on Stuart on Monday, which was in great icy conditions as suggested by Colin. I think John Cooper will post a TR hopefully with a picture showing the route.
  21. Good news. They opened the gate yesterday about 11am. The nice ranger even gave us a ride the last mile back to our car at B.C.C.G. The trail to Stuart/Colchuck is melting out and icy.
  22. Yikes, giving me the shakes. Looks supercool.
