I just got the EV2 myself a couple days ago. There is no external vestibule. The internal part of the tent is long enough for gear at your feet (hence the "integral vestibule" of their marketing hype) but if you want a true vestibule you wont get one with the EV2.

There are signs like that along the tracks through Oaks Bottom. They are largely ignored. I think it may be a railroad CYA move that protects them from liability.

bill--my memory is admittedly poor but I dont recall seeing any bolts on benthos. I'm not really sure what you are asking (and my name is Rob not Rod). lots of climbing in hells canyon too but not as adventurous as the wallowas in my admittedly limited experience.

in some of those cited areas a tent wont be necessary as there are huts you can crash in. with respect to tents have you considered a bibler bombshelter? lighter and roomier than either of the tents you mention. I spent two weeks in the cordillera blanca in a bivvy sack and was fine.

Harmston hasn't been at BD for several years so that might tell you how long its been since his tools were tested. They can still test them but I doubt they will. The liability is HUGE.

I think what aspencir is trying to say is that BD is offering a discount on vipers if he/she sends in the recalled tool. BD is not offering the vipers for free and because aspenccir can't (or doesnt want to) afford new tools, he/she is offering the vipers up for sale so he/she can buy used tools within his/her price range. Correct?
