I've taken a significant fall on a screw that also had a screamer on it (yates). I had placed it perpendicular to the ice (less than optimcal ice) and it held. The screamer fully deployed. I do not recommend doing this yourself.

I had a pair of Acopa slippers a few years back. I thought they were decent for the price. They delaminated after I left them in my trunk on a hot day (as just about any shoe would). I would have replaced them with another pair had I been able to find them locally.
