  1. Redpoint or Pinkpoint?
  2. That last photo could be a Hamms beer commercial. From the land of sky blue waters...nice send.
  3. so now its going to be 4 pitches? Looks like you were just busting onto easier ground?
  4. Dave, you don't have to worry about snafflehounds if you get turned around by the ranger for no permit on your way to Snafflehound Ledge. Sleeping on the trail probably doesn't help either, you outlaws.
  5. Lots of gear placements if you look for them on YW. Not really even dicey. Onsiting Pipeline, now thats dicey. Blind strenuous placments around the corner as you layback up, wild! Anyone here ever gotten the onsite or redpoint of Pipeline? As it's beyond me.
  6. I beat ya to it. Casual.
  7. Butter will easily remove the sap. However, it may leave a grease stain.

  9. Thats gonna leave a mark. Nice send.
  10. That looks great, a cool new classic, awesome!
  11. Mark Cartier talks with Jeff Thomas on the season opener at Beacon Rock last year. Mark's positive attitude and rope gun leads were legend at Beacon. Mark was on numerous first free ascents at Beacon Rock including Little Wing, Ground Zero, Steppenwolf, Summer Daze, the list goes on. Rest in peace Mark, you will be missed.
  12. Rock solid
  13. Cool story Bob! Thank you. But do you mean Jim Madsen instead of Jim Baldwin?
  14. Probably Uli is having the most fun, although with his brutal training regime, maybe not. He definetely has the best gear.
  15. Messner is an overhyped climber? Not! If anything, many of his ascents were not hyped or broadcast at all, and he was breaking new ground when everyone said it was IMPOSSIBLE to do what he did. yeah, Uli is a fast climber but I don't see him doing new routes on the North face of Everest or K2. (Yet). Kukuczka was also good, but he didn't make it. Messner is still here, that says allot about the man.
  16. I think you will find much of Tieton is "adventure" climbing. have fun!
  17. Tried these at The Circuit last week on a demo day and was really stoked with them. For overhanging stuff, they work wonders.
  18. Bill, is your post for real or for reel?
  19. The best crack climbing in the Icicle is in the Tumwater.
  20. I have to agree that Schoeller fabric is amazing. Worth every penny. On softshells, I think softshells really shine when its wet conditions close to freezing and the wet seeps thru your outer shell. Seems not needed as much and restrictive when its colder. I will wear a softshell sometimes when there might be light rain or mist, and I don't want to carry 2 jackets.
