I second the TC Pros option.

Plaid you are right, good thing for the park and good thing for the climbers to do trail work. Kudos to all that attend the Beacon Rock Climbers Assoc. trail work day this Saturday 9am to noon. I hear there is about 30 folks coming so far and a barbecue after. Nice.

100 Days 100 Miles 100 Climbs - Slideshow

The 1/2 hour segment of you guys pounding in bolts was a little slow but it was the long minutes of looking up your nostrils with a video camera that had a detrimental effect on many of the Mazama's who went scurrying for the exit. We got to get you a video editing program. and since your phobia of seal lions is now public knowledge, you should know they aren't really lions... Well done Plaid. You are brave and stalwart! and you had some pretty good jokes. -

Its tonight!!! The rad bad Plaid gets it on. Some people say the top of his head looks like St Peters Dome but since he always has a helmet on, who would know? -
Headlamp - is the weight-savings really worth it?

You can't go wrong with having 2 BD Spots in your pack. -
Strange scenario, wonder what went down?

From the base of the corner to where you reach the hikers trail is only 500 feet? That seems light but ok. If that is the case, then you should jog up to the summit for the extra vertical each time you top out, as your average just went down to 25 feet a minute. I think youre right Dave, it was the guy climbing with Tim. I have found that those sprains sometimes take a long time to heal, even though the guy who fell was pretty agile and tried to absorb it and roll. Its not called Crazy Horse for no reason, it must be named after Kevbone or Arndt, those guys fire it.

I got the PBR if you got the 10,000 vertical Dave. All you can Handel! Does anyone know about the guy who decked off Crazy Horse onto Yosemite ledge this summer, how that turned out? Broken ankles, fractures, sprains, and his recovery ??? He landed beside me and it wasn't pretty.

What do you mean the biner gate on his third piece was open? You mean the rope flew out of the biner when the piece should have caught him? Was it backclipped or ???

A invaluable tool.... http://m.nwac.us/weatherdata/current/

Yep, Ivan you were ripping off the laps on the corner at the rate of 1 round trip lap every half hour. I figure that is climbing at about the rate of about 40 vertical feet a minute. I heard the record for solo laps on the corner is 10 in one day, which is about 7000 vertical feet of mostly class 5 solo climbing. Now thats something to shoot for. Or maybe up the ante to a 10,000 vertical day if you're really in shape and feeling rowdy. Me, I'll just keep plodding along with a rope and a bad attitude.

Was just at Smith today climbing, and the weather was perfect and warm, no wind, no smoke, awesome day. Must have been perfect at Beacon as well.
-
Great! Less crowded, more ful-filling! The good sending temps are just now in, time to step it up a notch. Ivan certainly has been, why just the other day he was crushing the 10d in the sky..
-
Just pulling your leg Kevin. Andrew was directing that comment at me, and I was just passing the buck, being the old codger I am. Got to run, time to go catch up with Rick and Ivan who are headed out in the boonies..

the grades don't go up with age...... That hurts! Poor Kevbone.
-
10c, I agree.

Pretty rad, and a route I've always wanted to do. Glad to see Bacon Ben Dover getting out,and good to see you boys firing on something besides El Cap for a change!
-
Happy Birthday Ivan! I've never done the Dod's start, as it always looked a little chossy. Sounds like I've been missing out. I agree Dastardly is 10a, but not if Blownout is 10a, the age old story.
-
Kevbone, it don't count if you take the Dods start, you got to start on Free For All for that one continuous line splitter the whole way........ Ivan, so the boulders were not so impressive? Got any photos?

Don't feed the animals (ego)... To true, he'll be soloing Jills next!

Wow, good send and what a night that must have been! Nice one Stewart. -
Vantage is fun, but it's basalt. I like to stop there for a afternoon, but then keep going another hour to Banks Lake and get me some granite.
