  1. It's very likely that the price of weed would fall to that of a really good beer...and we all know how often a home brewing operation gets burglarized. Not likely, why would those in charge of selling/distributing it legally "give it away" when they know how much the current consumers are already willing to pay? It would likely be a monopoly, controlled by the MAN. Thus, the MAN would set the price and tax rate, (ie control the "free market competition" ), which I highly doubt would be much lower than the current market is paying. In addition, keeping the price high, maybe even higher than the current black market rates, would be easy to sell as a way to keep minors from obtaining it. How has this played out in places like Amsterdam?
  2. That's actually a fine profession, as is mine, but I consider my personal life (and yours) to be an unacceptable target of ridicule on a climbing web-site. Not only am I going to refrain from gratuitously ridiculing your job, I'm not going to make fun of your wife and children either. At least I got me a Scare Bear for Christmas. Thanks Dawg! I wuv u too.
  3. where can i get the BETA on that? beacon rock update thread isn't showing it... Call Jimmy O. he's got boxes and boxes of BETA, even a BETA player, too.
  4. That is such a crisp shot of Prusik, what are you shooting with?
  5. So, other than that, did you accomplish anything last year? Can you write a book on how to get a job with 26 weeks of vacation? And, not have to go to school for 8 years to do it? If so, I'd like to have a copy on my desk by New Years. Thanks a bunch.

  7. Yesterday was actually quite nice... No rain, slight breeze, and nobody but us there. Justnip get'n some FFS (I guess he is not "some"). Yes, that is blue sky and sunshine, who'd a thunk it.

  14. Probably not me since I've never climbed at Vantage. Maybe though, stranger things have happened?
  15. "Don't get mad, get Plaid." Nice, STT. The up beat music is a better fit (IMO).
  16. Hi-Def nostril shots... Not sure if we really need those yet. Good on ya, Plaid. I am trimming my nose hairs right now. That even grossed me out. It's one way of getting perspective on your personal hygiene habits. I can't promise a new camera for the holidays but I do promise no more nose shots. Hmmm, trimming the nose is not really the solution I was hoping for but I guess it's a step in the right direction. Perhaps it would be easier to just not shove the camera up your nose? Then again, maybe everyone but me likes those shots, even more than watching a blurry image of what is supposed to be paint drying, or aid climbing, or something like that...
  17. I just picked up a nice Panasonic point & shoot at Costco for around $200 and it also shoots great Hi-Def video. Lumix DMC-ZS3
  18. What would John David Jr do?
  19. Hi-Def nostril shots... Not sure if we really need those yet. Good on ya, Plaid.
  20. That's pretty cool.
  21. The problem with any conversation around skills development is that if there were a skills-based test for climbing Hood, what percentage of the annual number of climbers on the mountain would likely possess the skills to [personally] respond appropropriately if things went badly wrong? Beacons or no, the skills situation up on Hood isn't great on the whole - probably better than on the cable route on Half Dome, but not by a lot relative to the potential objective hazards and risks. Skills are important, but bad things happen to the most skilled climbers too.
