  1. Jerry "The Jet" Greenleaf rapping his trip report of our 25 day ascent on El Capitan in Yosemite last fall 2015. The Tempest Rap by Jerry "The Jet" Greenleaf Plaid
  2. Thx Steve for the glowing report of my successful 1st El Cap route. I am mostly recovered now. Ready for the next one. Working on the TR now. Plaid
  3. Nice TR Avy. I was with Geoff that day. We just did the Corner with the Uprising finish. Felt cheated. You guys got all the adventure. Nice job. Geoff and I got our route done in sub 2 hours. Felt like I was running up the damn thing. Sure love a good rain storm though. Totally forgot that you guys were up there. It really came down in buckets as I was driving to Starbuck's to interview Matt about his Wild Turkey's and Grunge Book FFA's. I wrote the Wild Turkey's one on my blog at: http://blog.oregonlive.com/climbing/2013/08/beacon_rocks_first_513a_-_wild.html?fb_action_ids=653910374627507&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_ref=s%3DshowShareBarUI%3Ap%3Dfacebook-like&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=%5B562693743801292%5D&action_type_map=%5B%22og.likes%22%5D&action_ref_map=%5B %22s%3DshowShareBarUI%3Ap%3Dfacebook-like%22%5D All the best to ya and keep firing. I seem to see ya all a lot around about. Plaid
  4. Got out on Young Warriors last evening. Led Pitch 1,3,and 5. The last pitch was just the small top section. I finished on The Corner and not Young Warriors proper and ran the rope all the way to the trail. Super fun. Got it done in 3 hours, just as the moon was coming up. Now I have led pitch 1,2, and 3. Just have to get to led 4 and 5 proper and I will have that route in the bag and off the list. Sure is easier being 46 pounds lighter. Plaid
  5. Thanks Steve. That will be all from the peanut gallery! I told you about eating those peanuts. They are making you loopy.
  6. It's 5.4 but the exposure ups the anti a bit. Making that move solo on sight was wild. At least it was for me! It seemed a little longer than 20ft. Although I am a short hobbit sized guy. Plaid
  7. Ivan you should have asked me about Dog Rock. I rope soloed it and there is an anchor on top. Wrote up the adventure on my blog: http://blog.oregonlive.com/climbing/2011/12/100_days_100_miles_100_climbs_35.html And here was the recon of the route: http://blog.oregonlive.com/climbing/2011/12/100_days_100_miles_100_climbs_32.html Plaid That bump near the top of the shadow is me on top of Dog Rock.
  8. Only 7814 page views of this thread. Can't wait to get back up there. Many more routes could go up on that bad boy. The chimney to the left is my next possible project. So much rock so little time. Dreamin' bout summer.
  9. Dually noted. It will be DONE! Plaid
  10. Bridalveil Fall, Yosemite with Leaning Tower just to the right.
  11. With you whole heartily on this one. Very bad ethic to top rope on the fixed anchor. I was taught better. Plaid
