Goat Wall is mostly fed by snowmelt, so it needs a decent amount of snow, as well as some good melt/freeze cycles, b4 it forms up. Cold temps by themselves won't do it.

Santee is the best / closest bouldering though somewhat urban/suburban. Mission State Park (I think that's what its called) is even closer but is greasy cragging and not much bouldering. If you want to drive further, Mt. Woodson is pretty good but mostly bouldering and some short TRing. Some longer more advenurous shit on obscure granite domes, but looks like you won't be there long enough to explore. And you can always go get your pump on at pump wall.

Do the smart thing and get her what YOU want. That way if/when she doesn't like them, you will have the tools you always wanted. Perfect.

N Cascades is closed. Maybe Cascade River Road would be your best bet. It would be a hump, but busting up and over to Boston Glacier area might be pretty rad. With this inversion, I bet the volcanoes might be fun too.
