  1. sucky......that nest is so dormant, I loveit when they close climbing areas for imaginary birds. I remember asking Jeff about the nest and he telling me he has never seen an eagle there. I haven't, has the BLM folks? What basis do they have that proves it is an active nest?

  3. Went to Strobach: Good News: hardy any snow on the ground and the roads are stil open. Makes for a super quick approach. Bad News: I waked from Primus Suckus to Watchtower and didn't see a singe line that looked to be fully climbable.

  19. Dan and I made plans for a night ascent of the NF gullies. We made it all the way tot he snow/perfect neve and turned around due to rocks whizzing past us and the sand blast effect. The wind was pretty strong with gust greater than 30mph. Looked perfect up there though, so maybe next week we will get some more high pressure after the snow this weekend. Wasn't very cold, we talked to a couple guys who did the timberline trail yesterday and it didn't get above freezing for them.

  23. head out towards opal creek if you do enough digging i bet you find something. But as far as "in salem" the famous and elusive "salem boudlers" are quite hard to find.
