Layton, check Fischer Transalp Vacuum. Shell can be molded to your feet. Wide up to 107mm. Transalp -

				Silveretta bindings, destroyed feet- solutions?
Zoran replied to jesselillis's topic in The Gear Critic
I have Silvretta 404 on Hagan's 130 Extreme but till can't figure out how to ski safely downhill in climbing boots. It is terrifying experience. Jake I also hope La Sportiva (or Scarpa?) can do something in that field. -

Congratulations! Excellent work. -
I am not sure any of this boots will fit you. Have you done any research to see are they wide or narrow in last? You have to see on-line since here in North America Boreal and Lowa are not widely distributed. Or I am mistaken... However, I think you need Scarpa boots. Something like Triolet Pro or Jorasses Pro. I have Triolet and they are so goood. But my feet are more D than 2E. I am not sure how wide are yours? It's unfortunate Mont Blanc are not what you are looking for. They are so good!

No I haven't used it so far. I have two layers from La Sportiva but not jacket.

It's very good shell. But ... There is a catch! You are an American and if you go for it, you have to wear European style colours. :-) Just kidding! What I meant to say I believe there are no gray colours for this jacket in NA this season. If you decide to go for it, you have to go for blue and red. Also, there is no hood? Is this problematic for you? I for some reason always look for jackets with hood. However, I am pretty much bold so I have issues with being warm.

Or you can consider new La Sportiva Lux? Lux

Millet 3D WDS Composite Jacket could be the answer but still have some fleece lining and that is not what you want.

Eric, My bag is Pieps bivvy bag. Single version... I have it on my day trips always. Not only in case I need it. Pieps made it for backcountry trips but I carry it in summer too. Maybe someone else will need it if get stranded and I have to go for help. In winter could be used as drag bag/carry bag to move injured person. It's waterproof and compact. Pieps bag

Thank you Steph! -
It's heavy. It is outer sweater. It's not windproof. I am using it under the lightweight shell (something like Marmot Aegis) as heavy mid layer. Doesn't have a thumb holes but sleeves are slightly longer. Dries quickly and is very warm.

I don't own synthetic hoody and can't talk about that ... Merrino? Icebreaker Sierra Hoody - Merino Real Fleece It's really something exceptional for the winter. I own one and it's awesome.

Terrible news! Both were an exceptional climbers ... Condolences to their families and friends. Artun's death will impact his partners. Colin lost a very good friend. Very sad news for all of us ...

Call Liberty Mountain to order replacements (right now they don't have them in stock, unfortunately). I just checked.

I don't own Neo-Shell garment yet. Maybe you don't know but Cloudveil is making one for this coming fall. It's called Cold Peak or something like that. I would like to see it. Cloudveil making great stuff. Mammut and Eider have Neo-Shell garments but Eider won't be available in US this season.

Great hiking trip. I like cherry pies from Hanceville. Chilko Lake is beautiful lake and spring skiing from peaks down to Goddard Glacier is very good. I like the place very much. -
If someone can beat this, it's you. You are a strong man. Just keep fighting. Don't slow down.

Hafilax, Dane is softshell guru. I read his blog very frequently and hope I will find the review of my future jacket there. Just a comment about materials... TNF Kishtwar is made of Polartec Power Shield Pro. Fabric: 224 g⁄m² (6.61 oz⁄yd²) Polartec® Power Shield® Pro - 84% polyester 16% elastane Average Weight: 599 g (21.2 oz) Inseam⁄Center Back Length: 29" Marmot Pro Tour is not. It's made of Marmot's M2 and Polartec®Power Shield® O2. I am not sure about percentage. And it's shorter (to accommodate harness.) Center Back Length: 27.5in / 69.9cm Weight: 1 lbs 3.1 oz / 541.5 g Main Material: Polartec®Power Shield® O2 70% Polyester, 30% Nylon 4.8 oz/yd Another jacket made of Polartec®Power Shield® O2 is Arcteryx Hercules Hooded Fleece Jacket. If you track this one at least you can try it in some stores to see is this what you looking for? I also overheat during hiking or uphill ski touring. I am looking for a jacket I won't take off during the steep and long approach (Grouse Grind in October is a good testing ground), windproof, excellent rain protection, light, warm while belaying, packable, little shorter not to interfere with harness and gear, colorful, with the hood, higher pocket zippers, arm pocket for iPod ... Couldn't find it so far, but I would like to check new NeoShell. Marmot Zion is just 510g. Off to check Dane's blog. Maybe he just posted the review of the jacket I am looking for? :-)
