I looked into doing the Whitney Trail a few years ago. My recollection was that the lottery system only applied to it, not the Mountaineers route which requires a permit and registration, but has no lottery/reservations. If that's changed, it sucks.

Are you saying that students in private schools work harder than those in public schools? I don't know for a fact, but it is just as likely the other way around. On average, students at top-tier public schools tend to work harder than those at lower-tier public schools, and students with free-ride scholarships often work the least. That's been my experience.

Just apply for your own insurance policy - no problem if you have a proof of insurance. Been there; done it. And maybe if you all studied a little harder in school and actually cared about your jobs and career and worked at it - rather than expensive recreation activities and travelling vacations all over the world - you could find work with good benefits.

Fer sure!!! and justice was the first album that marked the demise of metallica, just sucked. I saw slayer last year, couldnt decide who was funner to watch: the crowd or the band Yeah right. "One", "Blackened", "The Shortest Straw" just suck.

I am partial to Metallica pre black album. Even Black has some "Ok" songs. But what is your favorite Metallica album? I would have to say "And Justice for All". I think Ride the Lightening and Master of Puppets are my faves. I agree The balck album has a few good songs. I saw Metallica live several times, including twice when Cliff was still alive. Day on the Green, Bay Area, circa 1983 or 1984, when Ride the Lightning just came out was golden!

It's OK. I prefer party sizes of 3-4 myself. At least there were only 14 people on route the whole day, eh? 2 weeks ago I went to St. Helens with a friend. Party size = 2. There were 300 people on the friggin' mountain that day.

I've never had a bladder burst on me. On climbs, I usually use them for summit day only when my pack is mostly empty. When it's below freezing I use extra care to keep the tube and nozzle from freezing. I may do a carry over next month which will make me rethink using a bladder though since my pack will be stuffed full on summit day.
