  1. I consider the Ranger talk is for other people. We have all met the "other people" out in the woods. Non-climbers or noobs. It is not as if you could find your way around obstructions/trail issues anyway.
  2. Nice TR. THe wedding was good, but I was thinking about you guys.
  3. Damn I was going to take my tyrolean equipment. Well there goes that idea. Lowlander nice job on packing the skis. Don't think I will be that hardcore. Just my hiking shoes and boots. Lookign forward to heading up.
  4. No one had headed up Mt. Olympus yet this year? This can't be true? NF web site was last updated earlier this month but some one has had to headed up there.
  5. IS FF still have cilogear packs in stock? Headed up to Seattle for the 4th and my alpine pack is on its last legs. A crag sack would be great to have. Save the wear and tear on the alpine pack. Was looking at haul bags but since I am no were near doing walls this looks like a great alternative. Also the 40l version is a great size. I can't seem to pack any smaller when I head out.
  6. You would think that some one would have seen the catalytic converter being stolen. I have thought twice about checking out Exit 38 cause of the breakins. That and not enough easy trad.
  7. wow great pic. MMMM..looks like boot packing to me. THanks.

  11. Looking to do the NF. Wondering if skis would skill be usefull getting in there? Or how long would I have to carry them? Doing the bushwack with ski boots would not be fun.

  13. Trip: Tieton - many Date: 6/7/2008 Trip Report: Spent the weekend at Tieton. It was SUPER FUN Gear Notes: rock rack Approach Notes: drive
  14. was not there, but two quick draws for an anchor? Why were there no lockers. Glad he was fine. Think I would have left for the bar at that point, but I am not a hard man.
  15. I am looking into NF of shuskan. What is the policy for overnight cars in the parking lot at the Mt Baker ski resort? I attempted this a couple of years ago and the lower lot was locked tight. Thinking I can skin to the base of the route this year.
  16. lol Taurus did not have enough clearence to make it. It is about a 15 min walk from where I drove to the TH. Another warm spell and it all should be gone. Go and get it. Not this weekend with the weather. The drive in last night things were looking real good. Glad I did not start my hike in last night. Isn't this central oregon? what the heck is with the rain? Just in time for a 3 day weekend too. Go figure.
  17. The road to pole creek is not plowed. Most people just wait till it melts out, which will not happen for a while. With the recent warming I would imagine it is close maybe 5-3 miles from the snow line to the TH. jefferson is the same story. There is winter approach for Jeff. At the big bend in the road head to jeff park. I have personally not done this but it is the standard winter approach. Have no idea how far you will have to park your car from the big bend ring now.
  18. I don't know anything about portaledges, but you should check out these sites as well. Good place to search for reviews and ask questions specific to big wallin Big wall forum Gear forum
