  1. THe trash you see is from independant idiots. I have been with several mazama groups out there and we always take great care to leave no trash. It is not just climbers that use that place by the way. ATVr's, Horse back riders and the scary traveling randoms. It is a free public camp ground. It is skull hollow what did you expect?? Sad to say but people as a general don't take care of things that are free. Take and Take is the rule. So did you pick up any trash while you are out there?

  4. "We need to charge to rescue mountain climbers." People who argue for that list that people are taking undue risk. Well how about the people who are now getting rescued from the devistation of Ike?? They took on undue risk.

  7. damn, denalidave beat me to the punch. second what he said. Kids school I have no idea. I went through the powder hounds at timberline (if that is still around)and I liked that program. But timberline terrain is not that great for advanced skiers.

  10. Another thing you could do is to take a pic of anybody who is hanging around the top. Then you can prove they are frequent offenders and you will amass good pics of all of them. They also might be tired of thier picture being taken, and stop showing up.
  11. Better leave those marks up. I don't know how to climb with out them If you take them down I will need a foot by foot topo for the area so I can complete the route. Compass and gps cord would also be helpfull.
  12. get one of those bear can sized pepper sprayers. Walk up, don't say a word and let the fuckers have it. Or better yet throw a few beer bottles at them and see how they like it
  13. What is the guide book for the area? Looking for low 5th class or under. I will be solo for the scrambling. Rappeling not a problem.

  18. Have another quesion. would there be running water at the high camp at the base of the glacier? Want to save weight on fuel. Have never been up there before.

  20. SO sahale arm is all melted out up to the glacier? Headed to sahale next weekend. Wondering if I can just take the tennies and get just a bit wet VS. wearing the lethers the whole time.
