I don't understand why this thread got nuked to spray. True, there is some blather in it, there this is actually a legit climbing discussion/issue, and some people actually gave meaningful insight/opinions.

Well, I'm not actually from Olympia, as the Alpinistic Fox would like you to believe, but from the Olympic Peninsula as well (Quil, PA, Forks) . I'll be over in your neck of the woods next weekend for the Rhody.
I like any movie that combines extreme mountaineering with high explosives. Hopefully the movie would involve toting plastic explosives up K2 or something.

I won that medal by performing "special" feats, which included riding that little bike 40+ miles.
