Not yet. Actually, as mentioned above you can make your own. Pgymy, a Port Townsend company sells kits that a friend of mine used to build his. But I'm looking for something a little more durable than a wood boat. I'll probably end up with a plastic boat, but fiberglass is lighter, so I'm not sure yet.

I was running in West Seattle yesterday when I was swarmed on by a group of women cycling in their logoed spandex. But I'm not going to complain. I have some cycling jerseys that I've found at the thrift shop, including the Coors light jersey and another from some Euro cycling team. I wear these when I'm training for the Giro or the Tour.

I'm sure you're looking for the deal here, but I've been looking for sometime, and the best place to buy a sea kayak I've seen yet is Craigslist. They're mostly going in $900-1200 range for $1500-and up boats, but I've seen a few go in the $500 range. Sea kayaking/touring is a diversion I've been looking into as well.

Semantically, it is an interesting problem. There is a strange power in the word "climber" that sets it apart from "hiker". There is a boundary that people have set, and everyone seems to have set it convienient to their own situation. I call myself "olyclimber", but do I deserve such a lofty title? Am I a mere "olyhiker"? It has been said on this board that you must "climb" more than two time a week in order to be a "climber". Others might not call the DC a "climb". Still others tie "climbing" to fun, and an increase in fun is leads to an improvement in your climbing ablility. Defintion: climb n 1: an upward slope or grade (as in a road); "the car couldn't make the grade" [syn: ascent, acclivity, rise, raise, upgrade] [ant: descent] 2: an event that involves rising to a higher point (as in altitude or temperature or intensity etc.) [syn: climbing, mounting] 3: the act of climbing something [syn: mount] v 1: go upward with gradual or continuous progress; "Did you ever climb up the hill behind your house?" there were about 200 people sleeping in that lot the other weekend, most of them kayakers. The Alpine Karoake Klub would have nothing to do with them closing it down. We were there to keep the peace and do what's right.
