  1. Climbing on th eweekend, grinding at work for the rest. Pullin plastic tonight..
  2. Thanks for bringing up an alpine rack. I'm learning trad from some craggers and I would like to know what a decent alpine rack would look like. I hardly think that I will need all of my hexes, and cams for cold rock.
  3. I'll bet The Wait for a partner was absolutely terrible. By the I saw your post it was Too Late Too Late to join you. So What? I said. I can run up Si on my own... Unfortunately, I left my lights on so my Battery needed some help before I went. After I hit the trail, I realized that Wherever I May Roam, it's The Struggle Within that really matters. After running up the trail, passing many a hiker, I found that the haystack was Trapped Under Ice. Sad But True, I was Helpless trying to climb the ice in my running shoes, so I went back to the car in shame...

    Bum Party

    This Story frightens me...
  5. An altimeter is a good investment, but learn to use a topo map and compass instead of relying on a GPS. Yep, that's my 2 cents... One more thing - there are a lot more than just volcanoes over here.
  6. He did it to himself. He never should have let anyone take his picture while he was wearing his blublockers and pimp hat.
  7. The loser of the "Post like" Catbirdseat contest. Webbing would definitely do a better job of spreading the forces out. It would melt out faster due to the larger surface area absorbing heat from the sun.
  8. Dude, would you tone it down? I find your reference to sport climbing offensive. More like gym climbing. Then is this a fatty dyno on an overhanging 11c?
  9. Down with E-Bay!!!! Bwahahaa!!!!.... oops.
  10. What exactly are you looking for? Red Cross Community First Aid (useless)? MOFA? WFR? What sort of rescue?
  11. Talking to a PT is a good idea, but can be expensive if you don't have insurance. My PT recommended a bunch of stuff like walking in sand and balancing on the injured foot in addition to more traditional resistance based PT exercises.

    Question

    Some call it commie radio...
  13. You missed it - BD had the Beal 9.7mm X 60m double dry for $120 about a week ago. It's not there now.

    St Paddy's Day

Damn it's cool being Irish... Cheers!
  15. I like having spray at the bottom. It's like a chewy center.
  16. Another option?
  17. Check your PM's
  18. Another mountie alternative...
  19. It's going to be some sort of measurement of your time at cc.com. "I remember when the 'How do you clip your belay biner to your harness?' thread was only four pages long."
  20. shat Shitted or did shit?
  21. I did this climb last summer. It was good time with a lot of loose rock and questionable protection. The sun was setting in pinks and purples across Mt Rainier right as we topped out. Check out the pic
  22. Where did the Irish family go on vacation? To a different bar
  23. FYI - You can buy the Whisperlite aluminum windscreen for a couple o bucks at Second Ascent. They also have the Markill cannister stoves there. They are about half the price of the MSR (devil = $20) and only weigh a little bit more.
  24. The mounties shut down Seattle VW at 7:00 pm for their "intermediate climbing class". Do they know that you can climb outside too? There was easily 50 of them getting in the way of the rest of us. What bastiches.
  25. Phuckin calm down man. It's only a commute. Really.
