Here's an interesting thought - I was looking through the Petzl website and I noticed the via ferrata lanyards. These are designed to reduce the impact force on the climber because it is possible to have a fall that is greater than factor 2 while climbing via ferrata routes due to the steel cables used in securing the routes. Couldn't these lanyards be used in place of screamers while climbing? Wouldn't it be possible to tie into a via ferrata lanyard and then into the rope to reduce impact loads on the pro? Hell, couldn't you just put a screamer between you and the rope? -discuss-

This is a way to make bouldering more like climbing. Put the boulders 3,000 feet up a snow field.

I'm pretty sure that they will be required to remove the sled. It usually involves a very expensive helicopter rescue.

I found that squeeze peanut butter last year. Great stuff. I have also used Ultralight Joe's Moose Goo to good effect. I usually keep a tube of it in my pocket for long glacier climbs.

My own crappy estimation puts light blockage at about 85%. This is based on observations against my 92% glacier glasses and my 82% sunglasses. But I'm just a wanker.
